About this property

Welcoming spacious Beach Cottage in Sarasota near Siesta Key w/ Luxury Decor

Discover the beauty of Sarasota & Siesta Key from this delightful 2-bedroom beach cottage. With 2 king beds and 2 bathrooms featuring a bathtub and shower, guests will feel right at home. An additional office space & den with a couch that converts to a full bed ( Serta) provides extra comfort. My place will help you feel at home while you're traveling to Sarasota & it’s white powdery beaches.
Sarasota has a lot to offer. There’s rich history here with the Ringling Brothers circus which started in 1920. Our courthouse is several stories high and it is historical building from the 20s era.
The downtown area is rich with culture and historical sites, but mixed in we have art deco restaurants with a modern vibe. It’s all well blended and complimented. Attention all foodies ! The food is divine here.
We have every genre of food that you can imagine. Mexican, Japanese, quality steakhouses, Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, Chinese, sushi, Greek, Italian, Amish, German, and of course, amazing seafood off the Gulf.
Our sundrenched beaches cannot be beat. Siesta Key was rated the number one in the United States and number 4 in the world!
You will not be disappointed! Don’t forget the lemon drop in is only 4.1 miles to this breathtaking beach.
Nearby is also Lido Key & Longboat, and in my opinion, just as beautiful as Siesta Key which is only a few miles from the front door.
The hospital is only 2.7 miles and downtown Sarasota is only 6 miles. This delightful beach cottage is convenient in every way.. it’s cozy
With top-notch linens on the bed as well as the bathrooms equipped with luxury products. Toothpaste, blow dryers, and high-quality linens… outside off the guest bedroom there is a covered carport with a large grill and comfortable furniture, offering the outdoor kitchen experience.
There is mature, landscaping with lemons, bananas, Japanese, bitter melon (considered a superfood), & guava growing right from the trees. It is common to see bunnies, squirrels, blue jays, wood peckers, cardinals, and cranes walk the yard…. The yard has been beautifully landscaped.
There are so many mature palm trees of various breeds.
It has been common for people to stop and and just complement the yard not knowing that inside this beach cottage, the atmosphere is so refined.
With a state of the art kitchen that boasts quartz, Calacatta countertops, soft close, cream, shaker cabinets, real brick walls, a waterfall island with signature lighting. and modern Italian black appliances with gold handles.. It is lovely!
The flooring was nicely selected to complement the environment of the interior, and the theme inside is all about “Lemons”. Being a fan of the Amalfi coast of Italy. I wanted to bring that vibe to this beach cottage to make it truly unique.
The dining room comfortably seats eight, so it is more than accommodating!
There are paintings throughout the house that are signed pieces.
The master bedroom is themed to be old Hollywood glam and has canvas photos of Audrey Hepburn in the movie “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” The bathroom off of the master bedroom, doesn’t disappoint with a clawfoot black lacquer tub. Gold faucets and hardware, & a double sink marble vanity, as well as a full shower.
There is a laundry room off the den and office with a full size washer & dryer. On the shelving above the washer, hangs an ironing board and iron with a steam setting, so that you can keep your clothing fresh while on your stay here.
The den is very beautiful with floor to ceiling windows and a desk area that is accommodating for anyone who wants to bring their laptop and do some work. The furniture is very high-end in the house. Nothing was skimped on. The guest bedroom is done completely in the lemon Amalfi coast theme. It is truly beautiful! Enjoy art over the bed with a “ Lemon Birds” signed piece.
Then there’s the living room….ahhh the living room, the massive white cozy couch with a chaise lounger makes watching movies in the evening very enjoyable on the 52” TV
There is Netflix and many other channels for the viewer to enjoy. It is adjacent to the dining room. The living room also has a beautiful electric fireplace for added coziness. Overhead is a chandelier with a ceiling fan all in one. The draperies in the dining room and living room were carefully chosen and really add to the feel of the home offering privacy and luxury. The furniture in the den is from Thailand, some Antique pieces and some newer pieces. Each one is a work of art.
There is another large screen TV in the den for those who would like to watch something different or relax in another area and the couch in the den converts to a full-size bed that is a Serta brand. The Den also has many live plants that are maintained by myself. Nothing is staged or artificial. It feels like a well loved home, and that is because I have personally lived here for the last year after my purchase and renovations started on this 1953 cottage home…. adding all of the details with a personal touch.
It’s a beach cottage with a boutique feel! Something you rarely find.
Nearby is Siesta Key Beach & when you only have to drive about 4 miles to the beach it’s practically like living there.
There are bikes on loan, beach chairs, and shovels/pails.
I have an ADT state of the art security system installed for those who want to feel a little secure when they leave and lock up, or while sleeping at night.
The kitchen also accommodates with service for 8 plates, cups bowls, saucers. There is also pots, pans, utensils, and many other kitchen items needed to cook and enjoy a good meal.
Speaking of cook. I am a licensed chef here in Sarasota with a five star rating. I love to delight my guests on Wednesday nights with a specially prepared meal that I deliver at 7 PM at an additional charge if you’d like to stay in for the night and just enjoy a good movie.
I also offer a wine list with a wide range of quality Italian wines from red to white.
Or for those who want to go all out and experience, the true Italian vibe, I offer a bottle of Limoncello.
There is a price list for the Wednesday night dinner and wine add ion. You will find it is very competitive offering quality at a good price.
Also to mention that both bedrooms are also equipped with large screen TVs and cable streaming.
Rustic wood beams throughout the house add to the elegance and carefully chosen antiques, and lighting, do not disappoint.
The paver driveway finishes off the cottage vibe as you drive up. It will easily accommodate larger vehicles.
I just installed a new metal roof on the house in 2024. The air conditioning unit well accommodates the home so you’ll stay cool even on a hot summer nights.
There are lovely barn doors installed that make the back den private when someone is sleeping there. The home sleeps up to six comfortably.
The yard outside flows nicely with pavers going to each Rental. On the land is a 42 foot RV that is also rented out to quality guests. Nothing is cramped and everyone has plenty of space.
There is an outdoor swing that was just put in with a canopy, and a hot tub for evening unwinding.
The entire yard is fenced in so you feel like the place is truly yours and well protected during your stay.
The “ Lemon Drop Inn” is state registered and compliant with local laws. Not everyone renting offers that extra piece of security.
Lastly, don’t forget Bayfront Park while here visiting.
In my opinion one of the most beautiful things about Sarasota!
You can see the sailboats in the Morin field of the bay. From there, you can also see the famous Ringling bridge that is lit up at night.
There is shops, dining, and mouthwatering restaurants all around the Bayfront park.
There are always yachts to enjoy viewing as well as you taken after dinner walk along the sidewalks of Bayfront Park.
However the most spectacular thing about Bayfront Park is the gorgeous statue of one of the most famous historical photos in history, where a sailor is kissing a nurse. The statue is over 20 feet high and makes a beautiful photo opp. The sidewalks around Bayfront Park go on endlessly and are well-maintained with lots of local tropical foliage. At the end of one of the trails. You will come up on Mary Shelley’s botanical garden…. For a small charge, you can go inside and enjoy yet another breathtaking view..
Across the Ringling bridge nearby you go over into Saint Armands circle. A small area loaded with shops, restaurants, and local art.. on many nights in the center of the circle you will have live bands or entertainment. It is also common to see individual live talent playing on the streets.
The best part is…. My lovely Beach cottage is only 7 miles to Bayfront Park and 9 miles to Saint Armands. Off of Saint Armands you have Lido key and Longboat key. In my opinion, they are not inferior to Siesta key beach and are definitely worth the time to check out. From there, you’re only about 7 more miles from the famous Santa Maria Island.
Pack only your clothes, tanning oil, and a smile.
From the blow dryers, to the linens, to the bicycles, to the beach chairs, I’ve got you covered & ready for a magical stay here on the Gulf. Oh, and did someone say magical?
Don’t forget you’re only about two hours south of Walt Disney World!
Ahhh yes we have it all here. Xxxx

Born in Biloxi, MS … I Moved to the Carolinas after High School. Lived everywhere from Myrtle Bch to Charlotte, but after moving to Sarasota I couldn’t be happier! #HOME
I am an actor with the screen actors guild
And have spent many years doing local theater
As well as national commercials and ads that have aired even globally
I have competed in women’s bikini bodybuilding with the Ifbb
I have done shows from Vegas Olympia
To the Arnold classic in Columbus, Ohio, as well as fitness America twice in Vegas, where I placed the top five.
I consider myself well traveled, but I still have plenty of places I want to see
I want to give my guest an incredible vacation experience
I’ve always been cooking in my family and during my marriage of 16 years, I lived in Salisbury North Carolina in a historical home built in 1904 which my husband and I at the time completely renovated. Our home was on the October tour several years during the fall festival. I was known for cooking and decorating among locals.
So I have taken those gifts with me to Sarasota to offer them here.

Why they chose this property

I wanted to open an AirBnb for several years. I wanted to offer a unique experience with my culinary background. Providing guests with a Wednesday night dine in meal during their week stay delivered to their door by me with a wine list included. This house is on a quite dead end street and close to the beach, so it was ideal.

What makes this property unique

I have named my rental “ The Lemon Drop Inn”
And themed it with celebrating the world’s most beautiful beaches. It features an essence of Amalfi Italy. With its beautiful black and gold Italian appliances in the kitchen.
To the rustic brick walls. The exposed wood beans that warm the place.
Artwork of Amalfi, and linens to compliment.
Designer touch is added to every single thing in the home.
This lovely beach cottage was built in 1943.
Mini would’ve torn it down, but I decided to restore the piece of history making it even better than it was and it’s early days.
It offers a boutique hotel I feel… that has all the luxuries of a home.
The lemon drop inn sits very close to all the attractions Sarasota has to offer.
