Weekend Weddings on our Farm.

Our signature Weekend Weddings include begin at 2pm on Friday and end 2pm Sunday.
Pricing for the wedding venue rental is $9500.

Indoor, Outdoor or Tented; in our Barns, Fields or Forest your ceremony and reception will be in your guests memories for years. You will be surprised how affordable we are compared to other venues.

1. Centrally located between Hartford, CT and Worcester, MA (1/2 mile from Exit 73, I-84), we are a 37-acre sustainable family farm and Year Around Venue.

2. Since 1998 we have specialized in Weekend Events (3 days, 2 nights) with year around activities on the farm and locally to make this a true destination Wedding.

3. Our combination of Indoor, outdoor, or tented events allows for you to exploit all four seasons and weather conditions with Outdoor (2 multi-acre pasture locations), Tented (Laurel House Lawn: 4800 sq.ft., North Field: 8000 sq.ft.), or Indoor (Gathering Area: 2180 sq.ft.; North Barn: 3672 sqft.) Weddings and Events.

4. "Expedia/VRBO" safeguard your Credit Card (up to 3) payments in "escrow", with full refunds up to 61 days prior to your event.

5. No Additional Charges or Fees for:
a. Exclusive use with no guests of other events.
b. Supervised 2 hour “Bon Fire” (Fire Warning permitting).
c. Rehearsal dinner site, Engagement photography, "Outside Vendor", "Day after" Brunch site & more.
d. Accommodations: Apartment (Brides Suite sleeps 8), Gathering Area (Grooms Suite sleeps 8)

6. You deal with us, the owners/"decision makers'', for real time adjustments and crisis management.


This is not just a Venue, it is an “experience”. If it is a wedding, Corporate Event, Jack and Jill Party, Pasture Party, Family Reunion, Memorial Service or a Life Celebration our farm can host it.
1. Hikes on our farm, Play in our mowed fields, Skip stones on the pond in the state park across the street.
2. Relaxed: 500+ ft from roads, birds calling, sounds of water falls, leaves in the breeze, pond stocked with fish.
3. Tourism Area: intersection of 3 areas: “Quiet Corner”, “Last Green Valley”, “Mystic Country”
4. Activities: outdoor, hiking, bird and wildlife watching, wild-crafting.
5. Views: historic stone walls, wildlife. Seasonal Agriculture: orchards, forestry, maple sugaring, vegetables, wild flowers
6. Settings: open fields, shaded park, bonfire & picnic area, raised ceremony & band spot.

We spent the best weekend at bush meadow celebrating our wedding. Property was spacious endless possibilities and more than enough room. Barry and Nancy were amazing hosts, always available when needed and really take pride in their property.

Wonderful Stay!

Charming and peaceful! My wife and I got married on this property and a year later, we wanted to celebrate our anniversary weekend by returning to Bush Meadow Farm.The property is immaculate, charming, and peaceful. Nancy and Barry went above and beyond to make the stay welcoming.Truly felt like home-away-from-home and wanted for nothing.Would certainly go back!

Fall Wedding experience

Beautiful property for our daughter’s wedding!!! We were very pleased with the ability to have the venue for the entire wedding allowing the bride and groom to stay on the premises and allowed us to host a wonderful rehearsal dinner and wedding!!!! With this being our first VRBO stay this was beyond perfection. Nancy & Barry were so helpful and friendly proving everything from your first breakfast to a spacious beautiful space. Wonderful getaway!

My husband, one and a half year old son and I had a wonderful time during our two-day stay at the farm. The apartment is beautiful, cozy, and exceptionally clean. Nancy and Barry are excellent hosts who went out of their way to make us feel at home. My son was thrilled to be around the farm animals, and to have so much space to play and run around. We can’t wait to go back again for a longer stay!

Wonderful stay at the farm

My husband, 2 kids, and 2 dogs had a wonderful stay at the farm. We needed a quiet get away and this was perfect. It's in a quiet area but close enough to activities that we found plenty to do. The hosts were helpful and very responsive. My daughter loved interacting with the animals. The apartment is very clean and modern and all internet and devices worked well. We very much appreciated the hosts supplying food and coffee for the first morning breakfast.

Perfect escape on the farm

I had a wonderful stay at Nancy and Barry's farm this past week. Although it was a short stay it was a perfect tranquil escape from our busy lives. House has anything you could think of needing and is on a large property so I took my dogs on some nice little trails. The breakfast and furnishings of coffee and tea were an extra special touch. Owners are very helpful & close by, I can't say enough nice things about our stay! Thank you both.

A Wonderful Weekend

We stayed at this property and used it as a wedding venue. It was everything we could've asked for. The apartment was great for some of our wedding party to stay at. The barn hosted a beautiful reception and even the open space attached to the apartment was perfect for some guests with children to use during the reception. We had a fantastic time and the property was amazing. Nancy and Barry were very helpful and attentive. Definitely would recommend!

What a perfect getaway

We came here with our 14 year old daughter and her friend. The trip was just perfect. Nancy and Barry were so accommodating. The place was stocked with everything we needed including items for breakfast and fresh chicken and duck eggs. One morning the girls got up "early" to help feed the animals with Nancy and Barry. The apartment was spacious and very clean. My husband and I are looking forward to coming alone next time to take advantage of the local wineries. Definitely all around a fantastic trip!

Short stay (unfortunately)

Very impressed, they supply a lot that others do not....linens, snacks, a high chair, children’s toys and games....the list is extensive. Also all rooms are large, even the bathroom, I think a wheelchair could get around easily without any issues. My grandson enjoyed the animals (as I knew he would). Would love to go back when everyone is healthier and try again😃👍🏻

Everything you need and more!

If you would want it in your home, Nancy and Barry have already thought of it. Their home is comfortable and the rooms are generously sized. You almost don't need to bring food-they provided a generous fruit basket, fresh eggs, butter, bread, orange juice, coffee, tea, water, cereal, and even chips. There's a lovely firepit and the grounds are nice. You even have a washer and dryer. I can't imagine a more enjoyable place to spend time. Thanks for having us.

Perfect Family Weekend Getaway

My family and I stayed with another family at this property and we had a wonderful experience. Nancy and Barry were knowledgable, kind, accessible and gracious hosts. The apartment had everything we needed and was well appointed. There were some wonderful extras like childproofed household cleaning cabinets and outlet protectors. We ate all our meals there and the kitchen had all the necessary tools and appliances to cook our meals. Everything was so clean! Nancy and Barry helped the children feed the cows and chickens and gave them several opportunities to touch the chicken. The property is perfect for families who enjoy outdoor space together. Plenty of games and activities for adults and children were provided. We do apartment and house rentals for all our vacations and this was by far one of the best experiences we’ve had. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Hideaway - Incredible Hospitality

Nancy and Barry have created a comfortable oasis on a private extension of their farm in Union, CT. Within a mile of main Highway 84, it is conveniently located and yet so secluded it feels miles away from commercialization. Our group of 4 women attending the Brimfield Antiques Show just over the Massachusetts border had such fun discovering all the cute surrounding towns’ restaurants and shops. At the end of each day though, we were so grateful to come “home” to such a lovely scenic place, with grazing rabbits and a family of groundhogs darting across a lush lawn. The two bedrooms were well furnished and the beds and den sleeper sofa were all very comfortable. The owners have put a lot of thoughtful consideration into the details of the bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom. The apartment was spacious and wonderfully clean. Nancy and Barry were gracious hosts. We enjoyed visiting with them and appreciated all their insight into the area and helpful suggestions for dining, shopping, driving routes etc. We really enjoyed the farm fresh eggs, fresh bread and fruit they had for us upon arrival. In a nutshell, everything was perfect! We all agreed that we would love to stay there again!

A hidden gem in Connecticut

We booked this property kind of last minute to attend a family reunion a few towns over. It looked great from the pictures, was able to accommodate our party number, and allowed dogs which was part of what we needed and it was a farm. I thought it would be a cool place for us to go stay. It turned out to be one of the best stays I’ve experienced since being a user of Vrbo. Nancy and Barry actually came and met us and took us through the property. They left little amenities and touches that are so important when you’re traveling. For example the first night you get there you check in -the refrigerator was stocked with breakfast items so our next morning we would have things for breakfast. They were constantly in communication with us, checking to make sure everything was ok and asking if we needed anything. This was a beautiful property. The building we stayed in had been newly renovated. Outside there is a fire pit and pergola. Peaceful with lovely landscaping. Space for strolling and looking at the cows. What totally surprised me was that there is the option for farm tours and other activities! They also have to capacity there for large gatherings- which I am keeping in mind for the future. When we were checking out,, they asked if there was anything that could be done better. My only comment was I wished I could’ve stayed longer!!

Best Wedding Venue Ever

If you’re looking to have a truly unique, special, and beautiful wedding experience, look no further than Bush Meadow Farm. First of all, from the start all the way to the finish you will have thorough and pleasant communication with Nancy and Barry. They are not just great, professional hosts, they are great people first, something that was important to me and my wife with all our vendors involved in our wedding because they needed to care about our special day. Nancy and Barry did! We found our guests enjoying all parts of the farm. We had beautiful weather so we decided to keep the barn doors in the reception barn wide open, placed speakers on the outside as well as the inside, creating a sort of indoor/outdoor reception. Some people were inside at their tables and on the dance floor, some were hanging out or dancing on the patio, some were out in the field enjoying the bonfire or playing yard games, some were enjoying our photo area by the floating doors, and some were simply walking the farm to visit the animals and seeing the sights. My brother at one point said I should’ve left the barn doors closed for a bit so the dance floor would be packed. I told him that’s the beauty of the venue, let your guests decide what they would like to do best so everyone is having a wonderful time… and they did!!! In fact this is the last text message I received from a guest at my wedding after I asked if he had fun: “ I had a great time! It was so nice to catch up with Donna and John. Plus finally getting to meet Donna's BF, Russ was a long time coming. Totally laughed at the "still" part of your vows. 😂😂😂 Awesome choice of venue too! Looking forward to being able to hang with you guys again!” This was the typical and unsolicited feedback from our guests: that they had a blast and they were surprised and impressed with the venue. If you’re someone who enjoys the versatility and freedom of a venue that allows multiple options for guests to enjoy, do yourself the favor of booking Bush Meadow Farm!!!

Peaceful outside patio and fire pit. Great for bird watchers.Every detail thought of. Lovely to be welcomed and shown around by hosts. Immaculate. Nancy and Barry were super nice and very helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process and the wedding weekend as a whole. The property was beautiful and so well kept. I do wish there were lights outside around the patio.

Great Hosts and Well Appointed Apartment

Barry and Nancy were terrific hosts. They were flexible on check in and met us when we arrived. They provided a tour of the apartment which is in pristine condition. They added a real personal touch by providing us with eggs, bread, cereal, milk, orange juice, coffee, and snacks! And Barry and Nancy were extremely responsive to the few requests we made. While we had no time to use them, there was a fire pit, sitting area, and dining area outside. We will be sure to take full advantage of these amenities next time, noting that the apt is situated on a beautiful lot. And for anyone looking for a rural farm wedding/shower venue, give Barry and Nancy a call. Can’t wait to return next time.
