Downtown Sister Bay Cottage (walk to everything), Open Year Round.

The Cotter Cottage is a perfect vacation rental for those who want to be walking distance to all of the action of downtown Sister Bay. A 5 minute walk gets you to the public beach, Al Johnson's Swedish Restaurant, Wild Tomato, Sister Bay Bowl, Husby's and all of your other favorite Sister Bay locales. The cottage is great for a single family that wants to have room to spread out or three families that want to split a rental to save on hotel costs and have all of the amenities of a home.

The cottage has 3 bedrooms with queen beds (two with attached bathrooms) and 3 total bathrooms. In addition is has a large 'bunk room' with 3 full over full bunk beds and a full size futon. The cottage has a fully stocked kitchen, a dining table that seats 10 with an additional adjacent eating area that seats 4, washer and dryer access, a large living room with a 55 inch flat screen TV and multiple streaming channels/WiFi. There is an additional seating area next to the dining table with a smaller TV with Direct TV and a TV in the bunk room with an Xbox 360.

For those of you who bring your boats and wave runners, the house is next door to the boat launch parking lot. The driveway is large enough for you store a boat/trailer in addition to several cars. The house is also a 3 minute walk to the Marina to rent a boat from Sister Bay Boat Rental.

An excellent spot for our three-generation get together. Very close to the water and easily walkable to sites in Sister Bay. Enjoyed hanging out in the area during the day and the fire pit at night. Great hiking in the state and county parks nearby.

We had a very peaceful stay in a beautiful part of the world. Highly recommend after Labor Day here to avoid the crowds. Downtown Sister Bay is very convenient to all the sights and services in Sister Bay.

Our group of three couples has been spending a weekend every year in Door County for about 35 years. This was about the fifth different house we have used for our gathering. It was spacious and clean, easy to find, and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was small, especially for the number of bedrooms and sleeping capacity, but it was well appointed with all the necessary kitchen ware and a surfeit of spices and miscellaneous gadgetry. The hosts were warm and inviting during our conversations before arriving at the house. They extended their hospitality by gifting us a bottle of Door County wine awaiting us upon our arrival.

Plenty of room for our 3 families to spread out and enjoy our annual week together. Great location near downtown Sister Bay with lots of room

This property is in a great location. It's in walking distance of downtown Sister Bay and the lake. Exceptionally stocked with paper products, kitchen/cooking needs, towels, and bedding. Plenty of dining and living room seating, along with many beds, make it excellent for a bigger group. There were 8 adults in our group, and we felt like we had enough room to relax and be comfortable. The three full bathrooms were perfect for our larger group. Just be aware that the two bathrooms, that are within the bedrooms, are quite small. Overall we had an awesome stay and the owner was very quick to answer the few questions we had.

Quick family getaway

This is an excellent location and would be great for a big family or multiple families. Lots of sleeping options, lots of gathering spaces, well stocked kitchen, great fire pit area outside. Girls weekend

The Cotter cottage was everything we needed and more! It was the perfect size for our girls trip to celebrate our beautiful bride! The location was perfect, easy walk to town but tucked away for it to feel secluded and has a nice size private yard with ample parking. Brandon is a great host and was easy to work with and commune with. We will definitely be back but maybe next time with our family.

Kim, I am sorry that it was not what you expected. I would agree that our place is a great set up for families but we have also had many groups of adults (including ones that come back year after year) who would argue that it also works well for adult only groups. I am sorry that you did not like having to make your beds however we have listened to our guests overall preferences and they overwhelmingly prefer to pay lower cleaning costs rather than having beds made. This was also a practice that we started during Covid to ensure that beds were always fully stripped and cleaned. Again, I am sorry that you were not happy with the property.

Great location, close to everything Sister Bay has to offer!

We visited the area with our adult children and grandchildren - this house was perfect for us! The location is great - quiet, but yet within an easy walk to everything Sister Bay has to offer. Owner was very responsive to communication House was well equipped with household items to eat-in or cook-out. It would have been nice to have some cabinet space to put our food items in, but not a deal-breaker. We didn't use the gas grill, but did enjoy sitting around the firepit. Beds were very comfortable. 2 bedrooms have attached bathrooms that are pretty small, but the rest of the home is spacious. The large dining table was great as well. Definitely recommend this VRBO and would stay again!
