Hospitable cottage newly built by local lady, for rent for a very convenient price, right in the very prestigious vicinity of Cotton Bay area and Cotton Bay beach.
just finished having it built it in 2003. It is a solid reinforced concrete construction. Cosy and very practical. I am very proud of it.
It is located in a newly developed subdivision of the small town of Wemyss Bight, but it is much closer to the Cotton Bay area. So far, in the subdivision, only a few other houses is finished and the few neighbours are very nice, and friendly.
The yard is very large and there are several tropical trees in it that already bear fruits. Guests are free to enjoy. There is a gardener that keeps and does a great job. Also in the yard, you can find a barbecue pit where to grill all the nice catch of the day. If it is dark outside, there is a drop cord with a light inside the console, by the house entrance.
In the house there are two bedrooms. One with a king size bed and the other with a queen size. There are two bathrooms with tub and showers. Towels and bed wear are to be found in the closet.
The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a large living room and dining room area. Please take notice that there is no TV. The nice home is situated in a strategic area for all of the daily excursions in South Eleuthera as it is near the Ocean Hole park in Rock Sound, The Island School, the Light House Beach, Cape Eleuthera, Davis Harbour Marina, White Land Beach and many more. Excellent area for fishing. The best spots will be revealed to all the beloved guests.

Nice, quiet place
House was good and quiet. Only hear the birds in the morning. Dirt road in is rough and traveled only by those who live there, which is good. Stephanie was a good host - responsive to my questions and provided easy check in and out. I’d stay there again, no question.

Beautiful House in South Eleuthera!
Casa Bahamas was everything my wife and I were looking for. The layout of the house is perfect, having two bedrooms and two baths (one ensuite). Wonderfully landscaped and well taken care of in a quiet community. Be respectful of your neighbors, drive slow and on the left, and have a blast in this sprawling less inhabited part of the island!

Peace and quiet
We live just outside Toronto Ontario and noise is on the rise. We needed to get away for our sanity, we needed calm, visually and auditorily. Stephanie's rental was just the place. It's out in the country a little but walking distant to both Atlantic and Caribbean waters with miles of the best beaches I've seen. Our neighborhood is full of relatives of our hosts and are the friendliest people you'll ever meet. This area is so welcoming we bought a small house near this rental. I highly recommend Stephanie's rental. The area is living as it should be.

It grew on us
It felt like we moved into their home. Many personal items there. Enjoyed the book collection. Not as clean as we would have hoped and there were no mattress pads on the beds. Sheets too big and pulled out at night. Needs to be addressed. Barking dog late night and early morning. Probably would look elsewhere if we go back. The location was perfect, however...

Our second stay!
We stayed for a week in 2020 and came to love the simple elegance of this house. It is well built, safe and comfortable, and has everything we needed. It's close to many of the magnificent beaches found on the south end of the island. We liked it so much, we booked it for two weeks this time, and wished we could have stayed longer!
Stephanie and Andre are wonderful people who we corresponded with frequently. I hope to meet them one day in person!

Why they chose this property
The house in about 1km away from the nearest beach that is the Cotton Bay beach. The resort is now closed but the beach can still be accessed freely.
The best idea when visiting Eleuthera is to rent a car and spend the day on a different beach every day. My house is located in a very convenient place for such purpose

What makes this property unique
Silence, peace, quite and a very large garden to enjoy outdoors with your family and kids. The garden is fenced in with a wall and gate in the front and gated all around that makes it ideal for guests travelling with their pets.
We are connected to the main water line; it was costly but worth it. Tap water is purified public water. We also still have the water tank in the back of the house that is good rain water to wash fishing gear and for the plants. The well is now disconnected but a hand pump is there to get water in case of necessity.. So we have water, plenty of it!
