Welcome to the "Fish Tales" cottage, the perfect getaway in Ft. McCoy, Florida.
Welcome to this charming cottage in Fort McCoy. The space features two cozy bedrooms, each with a queen bed, plus a living room with a comfortable sofa bed and an extra sleeping area that includes a full bed. Guests will appreciate the two bathrooms, making mornings easy and convenient.
If you enjoy bass fishing, kayaking or swimming in the nearby natural springs, or just relaxing indoors, this little cottage is the place to be.
It's located within walking distance of the Ocklawaha River and minutes away from Rodman Reservoir and the St. John's River. You can enjoy some of the best bass fishing in Florida.
There are many nearby natural springs to go kayaking or swimming, such as:
Silver Springs State Park, Juniper Springs, Salt Springs, Alexander Springs, and Silver Glen Springs. The famous Silver Springs State Park is a great place to visit with the family. You can take a glass bottom boat ride or rent a kayak and enjoy the crystal-clear water. You may even spot a wild monkey or two.
If you want to enjoy a beach day, you are less than an hour and half away from Daytona Beach, St. Augustine, Jacksonville, or Cedar Key.

My husband and I live in North Georgia with our 2 Pomeranian boys. My husband is an avid bass fisherman so we purchased our home in Ft. McCoy, Florida so he could enjoy bass fishing at its best. Later on, the home next to us became available so we purchased it and turned it into the vacation rental for you to enjoy.
Why they chose this property
We chose our property because it is within walking distance to the Ocklawaha River and the boat ramp is just right there as well.
What makes this property unique
If you want a peaceful retreat, "Fish Tales" is the place to be. There are so many outdoor opportunities nearby. If you enjoy fishing, hunting, kayaking, horseback riding, riding the ATV trails-all of this is just minutes away from "Fish Tales". There's plenty of parking space for you to bring your own boat or your trailer with your ATV's.
