If your one or two people and you can stay in an efficiency apartment you won’t find a better place. Great location at the foothills of the Rockies. Walk out your door for great hiking or biking. Cute yard with patio to enjoy the afternoon and evenings. Wonderful Pearl Street with all kinds of shops and restaurants is just minutes away walking. Awesome neighborhood with amazing architecture. Owner responsive and easy to deal with. I will be back time and again until I move there.
Beautiful home in the most peaceful and best neighborhood in Boulder
I don’t even know where to start. I was tempted to not leave a review in effort to keep this gem a secret all to myself but that wouldn’t have been right.
For starters, the apartment is much larger than I thought it was going to be. Very spacious despite being a studio. It has all of the amenities I could want- a stocked kitchen, tv with all of the apps etc, very strong Wi-Fi connection (I work remotely and this was crucial), a nice bathroom with a lovely tub, easy parking, etc.
The neighborhood is GORGEOUS and just walking in it made me happy. It’s really accessible to many hikes (walking distance as well as short drives). Everything is so convenient and the streets are lush- filled with greenery and gardens galore.
Steve was lovely as well and happy to help in any way needed. Stay here and you won’t regret it!!
Place was comfortable and quiet. Liked view and proximity of the mountains. Beautiful houses in neighborhood and friendly people. We stayed for 2 months and were quite comfortable. Also, good communication with the landlord.

Feels Like Coming Home Again
For a second summer I returned to the Sweet Mapleton Hill Bungalow and for me it always feels like coming home. I once again used this amazing location to train for an Ironman and the access to Boulder's training grounds was key to my training both mentally and physically. One of my favorite aspects of the property is the outdoor patio space which provides the perfect backdrop to enjoy the neighborhood and enjoy small gatherings with friends.
Steven, as an owner, is attentive to the individual needs of his renters and is continuously making upgrades to the rental.
I look forward to returning next summer to Boulder and renting this same property and feeling at home again. Thanks again for a great summer in Boulder!

Great owner involvement and terrific property
Our experience with the owner, Steve, was a super positive one. Steve worked with me to accommodate an out of town family that needed short term housing in Boulder due to a medical emergency. Great to know people are out there with a sense of community and genuine empathy for others. The process to reserve and payment terms was really easy and efficient.
The property itself was a great short term solution. Clean, neatly furnished and such a terrific location. The outdoor patio is a highlight. Minor maintenance issue was promptly addressed.
Overall a really positive experience!

Great Location For Athletes/Outdoor Enthusiasts of the Boulder, Colorado Area
I stayed at this property for two months during the summer of 2016 while training for the Ironman Boulder and I would highly recommend it for any athlete or anyone interested in enjoying all the amazing outdoor opportunities Boulder has to offer. The central location to trails, pools, the Boulder Reservoir, local shops and grocery stores, and the tranquility of the historic Mapleton Hill neighborhood made it an integral part of my training. The property owner is extremely professional, takes care of all the small details (even added an inspirational cycling poster to the decor of the house to motivate me!), and truly makes this property a Home Away from Home.

Christmas winter wonder
Convenience is one of our priorities when travelling and Steve's larger studio of this duplex fit our needs exactly. My son and I found the studio to have ample room among the provided furnishings. The queen size bed was very comfortable and an extra bed cover was available to keep warm against the -24 degrees Celsius and snowy conditions outside. The malfunctioning bathroom heater was replaced by Steve with a space heater and his attentiveness was greatly appreciated. We had an enjoyable experience, would recommend this property and will stay here again, if available.

Photos Need to Be Updated
We chose this property for its ideal Boulder location, on a very quiet street within a block of excellent hiking trails and a few blocks from the Pearl Street shops. It was the perfect home to be within easy walking distance to both. The owner was very responsive to emailed questions and sent clear instructions for checking in and out. The interior of the home no longer appears as it does in the photographs on the website. The furnishings and colors are quite different; the couch has been replaced by two chairs and the lodge style king size bed has been replaced with an Ikea style queen. The owner provided a nice air bed for a third guest, though it was hard to find an uncrowded place for it on the floor. The home feels like it is either being moved into or out of with pictures and a television propped up against the walls and stacks of packed boxes and totes in the kitchen. It makes the home feel cluttered and smaller than it is. If these things were addressed, it would be a convenient, cozy and peaceful place to stay for adventure seekers, sightseers and tourists without a car.

Great stay near Pearl Street in nice neighborhood
We stayed in the larger studio of the recently renovated duplex. We unexpectedly arrived to Boulder an hour early, but Steve (owner) was nice enough to let us check-in early. His communication was great and responses quick.
The duplex itself is clean and open. Bathroom and kitchen have been renovated tastefully. Full kitchen allows you to cook, but it's so close to Pearl Street I'm not sure why you wouldn't opt for one of its restaurants. Ozo coffee house is a nice place to start your morning and only a 5-7 minute walk down Mapleton blvd. The neighborhood is also a great place to walk and jog.
Overall, great stay at a great price. Cozy for two people- maybe you could have a third on the couch.

Nice stay, fabulous neighborhood
I am very familiar with Boulder because my best friend lives there and i visit twice a year. This is arguably the nicest neighborhood in Boulder and walking distance to Downtown and the Pearl St. Mall. Very quiet street. The unit is in very good condition with a cute modern small kitchen. I mentioned that the washer dryer was not working properly to the owner and he is taking care of that. Other than some minor issues that the new owner will handle this is a good value VRBO, and I would stay again. I had to cancel because of the recent floods and rebook and the owner was very forthcoming and helpful in getting my new dates setup and crediting my account.

Boulder Vacation
This rental unit was clean and well maintained. The unit is close to Pearl St and other area grocery stores, a Breadworks, Coffee shops etc. It is also not far from some popular hiking trails if that interests you. We enjoyed our stay, quiet neighborhood too and would consider booking this unit in the future.
