Our group was very happy with our stay at Wine Down at the Vintage. The accommodations were perfect for our group of 8 ladies, especially because we were able to request single bed configuration. There were ample bathrooms for all of us. We enjoyed the spa, outdoor fire pit and indoor gas fire! Perfect for a winter stay.Having access to the tennis courts and other facilities of the resort was a bonus. We were able to walk to many of the amenities but wouldn't recommend this if you aren't up for a 15 minute walk. We really enjoyed the walk in the fresh air surrounded by lovely open spaces, greenery and lovely homes. The house was neat, tidy and clean and in a lovely quiet spot. We would definitely return and recommend Wine Down to friends. We also checked out some of the other properties for rent through The Vintage Holiday Houses and were impressed with all the options.

The property was great! Lots of room and the fireplace, fire pit, and the spa were great perks. It was very clean and well stocked. Use of the resort gym and pool were also fantastic. We were unable to access the compendium with house instructions, unfortunately, which meant we couldn’t figure out how to heat the spa. We called a few times for instructions but nothing seemed to work. By the time we realised it wasn’t heating again, it was after-hours. This was disappointing as that was a main draw! I had also called about purchasing firewood and was told the office would close at 6. We stopped in, on our way to dinner next door, at 5:50pm and it was locked up. Luckily my husband is resourceful and scavenged for wood along the road side. I would definitely stay here again, but would encourage improvements in communication and customer service from the host.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the property, its spaciousness, cleanliness and amenities, and that you made good use of the fireplace, fire pit, spa, gym and pool. We’re genuinely sorry about the difficulties you experienced with accessing the compendium and getting the spa heated. Your feedback regarding communication and customer service is very valuable, and we’ll be reviewing these areas to ensure guests have clear instructions and reliable support throughout their stay. We’re pleased to hear that, despite these frustrations, you would consider staying with us again, and we would be very happy to welcome you back and provide a much smoother experience next time. Fabulous property

We just stayed here for a girls weekend, and were highly impressed by the quality of the house. Beautiful quiet area, pristinely clean and great communication with the property managers. Lovely gifts of wine were waiting for us on arrival and gorgeous coffee machine. The beds were super comfortable and the hot tub was perfect in winter. Easy to pick up and drop off keys and very accomodating with an early check-in. Highly recommended and we hope to be back!

Wedding

The house was great for our adult family. 3 roomy bathrooms and 4 bedrooms all with queensize beds. Plus separate loo downstairs. House is large and roomy. Outside area is brilliant for relaxing and entertaining. It is nice and quiet and very private.

Grown up girls weekend

We are 8 mature ladies who came to the HV for the Lovedale Long Lunch. We wanted a house that had a the creature comforts of home and space for everyone. This house delivered in bucketloads. The only issue we had with the property was the lack of heating which management sorted perfectly for us within half an hour. Would definitely stay here again!

Bad start but got better

Property had not been cleaned when we let ourselves in so not a great start. property manger responded really well and got us set up at the restaurant with a tab whilst they put everything right. Property spacious and very well appointed Aircon on a hot couple of days was not up to the task and there were no fans to help with that.

Long weekend getaway

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the vintage property. The house was very clean and had a lot of facilities that made our stay very enjoyable. The only thing was we have problems with the bath during our stay and it was very noisy during the night. Other than that we would recommend this house for a group and would be happy to stay here in the near future.

Home Away From Home

This property exceeded my expectations. From the decor to the coffee machine (complete with coffee pods and a milk warmer), the attention to detail was faultless. The perfect choice for a group getaway.

Cosy

I stayed at this home with 6 other friends over a weekend in July. The house was huge and could accommodate many more people if needed. The house had a beautiful gas fire place and they offered complimentary wines also which was lovely. The board games were a savior when we had a night in in front of the fire place. The only down fall was is that i felt the house needed a better clean in certain areas, the bathrooms could have smelt a little better and sheets smelt a little stale. It does say that you do have only one neighbor on the side of you but there is technically people living behind you also which can be noisy for the downstairs master room.
