Doubletree Berkley was beautiful and amazing. The staff were sweet and they offered some good snacks. My sister and I would love to stay here again soon!

Staff unfriendly. Room needs serious repairs, paint peeling, woodwork rotting. AC VERY LOUD. During our 2 week stay bed linens were NOT CHANGED! The convenient location is only reason we stay there.
Loved that it was right on the bay. The marina was nice. Property is clean. It is very close to freeways and was convenient for stops we had in Berkeley and over the bridge in San Francisco! We would stay here again for sure.
On-site parking is 45/night. But free parking is available across the street with plenty of spots. Although there are signs for no parking 2am-6am, no ticket will be issued, according to my experience of staying for two weeks.

We did not get a bay view room and there was a 45 parking fee. Room was dated but location is great and there are walking trails right there.
Property, location, and facilities were exceptional. There was free street parking. However, the staff was terrible and they double charged as by $752!!

Made this reservation through VRBO and took awhile to figure out what place it was for - turns out it was the Hilton Doubletree at Berkely Marinha. The price for the room was reasonable, but we felt a bit nickel and dimed to death. Bottle of water in room? 3. No complimentary breakfast, but you could buy one at the in house restaurant or a basic one at the gift shop. They had a nice pool indoors with sauna and hot tub. There was a nice park immediately adjacent (free public park). Pets were allowed in the hotel, and the park had lots of walking trails designed for dog-walkers as well as just walkers. Room was comfortable. So there was some good and some not so good. Just a continental breakfast would have gained a star. The location was right next to the marina, but otherwise nothing for a couple of miles. Not hard to get to though.
I loved my 6-day stay at this beautiful hotel. This is a great discovery for me in the Berkeley area, and I plan to stay there again when I'm in town visiting family. The marina is so peaceful and relaxing, and the hotel property is quite large with many places to walk and enjoy the unique setting. Next time, I'll look into how much more a room facing the marina (with a larger balcony) would be. The view must be spectacular. The pool and sauna were great. We had dinner twice at the restaurant. It's expensive but very good! All of the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. My room (3228) only had (lovely) down filled pillows and comforters, but the staff changed everything for me because of my allergies. The refrigerator was large and not a filled minibar fridge. There were 2 problems with my room: seating and curtains. The upholstered chair smelled very musty, and I couldn't sit in it. The desk chair was very worn but comfortable. The curtains weren't entirely "black out" because they left room on the sides. The bigger problem is that there is no sheer liner curtain for privacy, but I saw them on other windows of the hotel. When I booked, I was disappointed that the parking was so expensive. Once there, I saw that there is a lot of free parking available right outside the hotel property along the road with minimal traffic. But when I asked if they had handicap parking, I was thrilled to find out that they did, and it was free! So glad I had brought my hangtag!
My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Marina at Berkeley in the Hilton. What an amazing treat it was to vacation at such a resort! Sunset views and great cuisine was enjoyed as well as your great staff! I hope that others will share my experience!
Nice stay. Staff were wonderful. Walls are paper thin and one can hear every single word of the conversation next door though. Parking should not be that pricey either.

We were disappointed with our stay. It took the front desk over an hour to find our reservation because Expedia had apparently booked it through Vrbo. Instead of resolving the issue themselves, I had to contact Expedia and provide the reservation details.
To make matters worse, the power went out around 9:00 p.m., and there was no communication from the staff about what was happening. The electricity eventually came back on, but we had no idea what went wrong and if that was going to ahppen again or not.
We had also requested a water-view room, and despite the long check-in delay, no effort was made to accommodate us or offer any goodwill gesture. When we raised our concerns, we were told, with an attitude, “That’s what happens when you book through a third party.” I found that response unprofessional and dismissive.
My vacation stay was quite enjoyable. I enjoyed the view, the peace and tranquillity, and the surroundings. It was quite a great deal in that pricing was good. The dining facilities were great too. Overall, I recommend The Hilton Double Tree at the Marina highly to all who are interested.
