We were a family of four on the off season. Cabin was in good condition. Clean and did not smell musty. The dock and woods were very nice. Kids loved the big tree swing and we enjoyed fires too. Would book again. Feels good for two families or three families that are very good friends. Also, I loved seeing pictures of the cabin being built by the original family. WiFi worked no problems. Didn’t try the grill but several propane tanks were on hand.

It was a great place for my family to come together. They accommodated dogs which was a must have. The dogs had a great time as well. There is plenty of privacy from any neighbors. They had dock space to tie up at night which fantastic. The loft area ac did not work, but their suggestion to keep doors open and we brought a couple fans worked well. The outside balcony was wonderful especially with a 3 month old who enjoyed looking at trees and hearing the birds in the morning. Everything worked well in the kitchen and the outside gas grill. The two winding staircases may be a little dangerous for toddlers unless blocked off. Marina and water park were fun. We lounged in the water by the dock for many hours each day. There are 60 steps to go up to the house which provided some exercise as well. Great stay and hope to come back again.

We were told we would have access to the covered slip and we did not. The owners boat was there. Because we were told we would have access to the covered slip we did not have our cover and proper equipment to cover our boat during the rain storms. Also, a very large tree fell barely missing our boat but it disconnected the dock causing it to float into the rocks. If we would have docked our boat on the other side of the dock our boat would have sank when it hit the rocks. A lot of those trees behind the house are in danger of falling any day.

The house was close to the inflatables at sugar hollow marina where the kids had a great time jumping and wearing off some energy. The location was also close to the jumping bridge. Although sugar hollow marina was closest, they only let guests use the boat ramp. The closest marina we were able to launch our boat was Deerfield. It cost 25 and we were able to park our trailers there for an extra fee. The driveway was large enough to park three trucks and boat trailers. The house was relatively small but still worked ok for our 11 guests (5 of which were kids and able to sleep in the open bunk room). There were two spiral staircases in the house. We would have appreciated a more thorough cleaning before our arrival ie mopping the floors and dusting. Also, access to a broom would be nice especially to sweep off the outside patio and stairs. Overall was a good stay. Our options are limited due to dogs, so always appreciate finding a pet friendly rental.

Location is absolutely fantastic. Cannot be beat. The cove is really peaceful and loved having Sugar Hollow right there. I really enjoyed the photos of your family and the cabin being built. The AC unit is in the loft was not functioning so it was pretty toasty up there. There are otters living in the cove! so we were joyfully surprised to see a little guy hanging out on the dock when we returned on the boat. Charming cabin.

Great week spent enjoying the water and nature. The place is a cozy cabin with a lot of stairs inside and out. A little dated inside but we didn’t mind. The only problem we had was the wifi. It is extremely slow. Had difficulty doing a work meeting. All devices in the house had to be in airplane mode to get the meeting to work. One good thing about that is the kids weren’t on their phones or tablets. Lots of card games. Would stay again
