There is a guy living in the basement. There is nothing about that in the listing. It was just my daughter and I and we did not feel safe. The listing is deceptive.

host was kind and accommodating but that’s the only upside to this property, the mattresses were hard as stone to the point we had to lay blankets in the living room to make a make shift bed, a lot of broken parts of wood/the house and landlord special on the whole house. only a few windows on the downstairs had functional locks. cutting board still has seasonings on it , stains on counters, used vitamins and near empty old spice in bathroom. we left a day early because none of us me, my partner, or our children could sleep the whole night. it was 100 degrees outside and they have one ac unit on the stairs that does absolutely nothing for a house that size. we had to leave the property to cool off in our car. additionally the poor sealing on the house and age of the house also added to us leaving early because the hazardous air quality outside easily seeped in. furthermore the downstairs tenant is only separated by a cheap bathroom lock that can easily be unlocked by anything and that door was unlocked when we came in, as well as one of the rooms having a scent of fresh cologne. VRBO support sucks as well so be weary of that. oh also bugs in the fridge and window sills. i definitely don’t recommend this property especially to people with families or young kids glass items everywhere and books and decor makes it un child friendly as well as heavy wood everywhere. the location in relation to shops is incredible, but the condition of the house makes a motel 6 seem cozy.
