The apartment will be completely renovated in October/November, and the bathroom will feature a walk-in shower and an elegant river-stone sink. There will also be a new kitchen with granite worktops and new appliances. Of course, the flooring is also completely new. With the walk-in shower, the apartment is also suitable for seniors. The colour scheme has been modernised and complements the tastefully furnished apartment. Don’t miss the opportunity to spend your holiday in a modern, beautiful, and elegant apartment in a prime location.
The spacious 4 1/2-room apartment on the 1st floor of the modern “Casa al Lag” apartment building can comfortably accommodate 6 people. Thanks to the wide range of leisure activities in the immediate vicinity, it’s ideal for winter and summer holidays with the whole family. Access to the garage, which also belongs to the apartment, is easy even in winter due to its convenient location. During the ski season, the free ski bus—which stops 80 metres away—runs every 20 minutes to the Murschetg Valley station (2 km), Flims, or Falera. For children, there is also a free practice chairlift and a glass igloo about 500 m away. In winter, the lake is open for ice skating, walking, or simply curling up when the weather permits, and in summer, you can swim right in front of the apartment. Other excursions: Lake Cauma (a wonderful lake for swimming), the Rhine Gorge (rafting, hiking), and the Surselva hiking region.
Winter season: Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, the Flims-Laax-Falera ski area offers something for everyone with its 220 kilometres of slopes, 54 km of cross-country trails, and 2 toboggan runs. The winter season runs from October through April. About 70% of the slopes are above 2,000 m above sea level and are among the most snow-reliable in Europe. The highest point (the Vorab Glacier) is 3,018 metres above sea level. Lake Laax (Laaxersee) is right in front of the apartment, which is located in a quiet spot; the lake is open for ice skating when the temperature is right. A wide selection of winter hiking trails invites you to take short or long excursions. For example, the rapids at Conn or Lake Cauma are also worthwhile destinations in winter. The Grava indoor pool, with its wide range of amenities, is also located directly on the lake. In addition to the 25-meter pool, it features a children’s slide, a fitness centre, a solarium, and a sauna.
Summer / Spring / Autumn: In summer, in addition to the stunning natural swimming lakes (Lake Cauma, Lake Cresta, and Lake Laax), you’ll also find a wide variety of other recreational activities. For example, there are approximately 250 km of marked hiking trails and an equally extensive network of mountain bike trails at various altitudes and difficulty levels. For downhill enthusiasts, there is, among other things, a challenging 7-km run (elevation gain of 1,128 m). Most hiking trails are well-marked and easily accessible via the shuttle service and mountain railways. If you prefer a more leisurely pace, you can easily reach the high alpine regions of the Vorab Glacier. Below Flims, the Vorderrhein (Swiss Grand Canyon) reveals a particularly wild and fascinating side. Take advantage of this, for example, for a whitewater rafting tour on the wild river between Ilanz and Reichenau, or enjoy the natural spectacle on a hike or a ride on the Rhaetian Railway.
