About this property

Golf And Sun Await In A Natural Sonoran Desert Setting With Heated Pool

This home was remodeled in August of 2022 with an expanded family room, full bathroom with large walk-in shower, and new sofa sleeper with memory foam mattress that can accommodate additional guests comfortably. A Wurlitzer juke box has also been added. The master bedroom bathroom was just upgraded in 2021 with a spacious shower with pebble tech floor and decorative tiles. Other amenities include: a full kitchen with new cooktop stove and oven, granite surfaces in the kitchen and baths, and stone flooring in the kitchen, front room, and halls and new hardwood floor in the master. The master bedroom is large and roomy and contains a slider to a private backyard and pool with a large walk in closet and private bathroom. All interior and exterior walls have been repainted!

The beautiful living room has a new smart TV along with the master bedroom. The home has free wireless internet with a new high-speed router installed. Expansive air conditioning is provided with ceiling fans in all bedrooms plus the family room to allow individual temperature control.

The pool and landscape are maintained routinely by professional services. The pool has a heater to enable swimming during the winter, early spring, and late fall seasons when the air temperature drops at night. The private patio has a newly constructed outside dining area with seating for 8 and serving are with new granite surfaces. There are comfortable patio chairs and lounges and two portable shade umbrellas. There is also a stainless-steel barbecue and propane fire bowl with numerous exterior solar lights.
Two of the bedrooms have brand new queen beds and mattresses. The concrete off the sliding door has been coated and the entire backyard entertainment area is covered with an aluminum patio cover and lattice. There is a remote-control fan installed over the outside dining area for added comfort.

The kitchen is well stocked and has a Keurig coffee maker. The home will have a limited supply of toilet paper, paper towels, soaps, and shampoo. Visits over a week may need to restock basic necessities.

Wonderful oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Phoenix proper. Gold Canyon is a quiet community with great proximity to the Superstitions and amazing hikes. The accommodations were as described. Our family felt very much at home and comfortable during our stay. The weather was great for December which allowed us the opportunity to utilize the wonderful outdoor space. Our host was wonderful and very timely with communications. The house had everything we needed. Kitchen was fully stocked allowing proper meal preparations without the need to purchase additional cookware. Plenty of towels and supplies. Overall, we would recommend this house to our friends and family, and would return if our travels would bring us back to Gold Canyon!

Ostic Property 2025

This is our 11th or 12th year renting the Ostic property. That says it all. It’s like coming home to us. The owners are wonderful caring people. The house and back yard are like an oasis. We’d never have to leave but we do because the property is close to so many fun places. God permitting we plan on going back in 2026.

Poolside serenity in the Desert

No need to venture too far from the lovely pool,just kick back and enjoy the birds and scenery. Lots of updates in the pool area, and you couldn't ask for nicer, more accommodating hosts. The neighborhood is very friendly and walkable, or you can tryout the bikes if you want to venture further afield.

We just spent 10 days at this property and loved it. The outdoor space is beautiful and very tastefully decorated. The pool was perfect and we spent a lot of time in it since the weather was especially warm for October. The house had absolutely everything that we needed and the kitchen was very well equipped. We have always loved the Gold Canyon area, Arizona golf, MLB spring training, and sunshine! Now that we have a beautiful home in Arizona it's hard to decide where to stay!
Our daughters are all on their own now so we are entering a brand new, exciting stage of life.

Why they chose this property

This property has it all. Privacy, beautiful views, hiking trails, walking trails, world class golf minutes away, private back yard with heated pool, recently remodeled with modern finishes, and comfy beds! It is the wild west revisited complete with doves on top of the saguaros, roadrunners & lizards on the fence, and coyotes howling at night! May even glimpse an occasional owl, pack of javelina's, bobcat, or rattlesnake meandering down the road!

We absolutely love the surrounding Superstition and Dinosaur mountains and the natural desert setting behind the home with limitless wildlife and birds. The back yard and pool are perfect if you want to barbecue, relax, or swim.
