I’ll start by saying I’m a tough but hopefully fair grader. If I could give 4 1/2 stars I would, leaving a little room for improvement. This single story home is a well appointed and spacious house that is suited for families or groups to share. The host does a great job stocking the kitchen, bathrooms and laundry with staples you need on a trip but don’t get at all rentals. She is responsive and a good communicator. Check in/out was simple and info is clear and helpful. The main part has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, one off the hallway and one in the primary bedroom. Rooms are good sized and layout/beds allow good sleeping options. The primary’s bed could be firmer. But that room & its bath are large, enough for a yoga space, mat & accessories included. Rear studio with own internal and external entry can be included to add a 4th bedroom, 3rd bath and space to relax or use as a work from home spot. The kitchen, eating area and living room is one big, open space with plenty of seating, ping pong and card tables, shuffleboard, and 2 mini-arcade video games (one out of service). The W/D and beach supplies are in closets nearby. Aesthetically some trim & doors could use fine tuning and the outdoor space is not real useful other than the screened-in front patio with swing that comes in handy. Location is very convenient for shopping & visiting Charleston and FB. Overall very clean, functional and enjoyable. They are new owners andI’m sure it will continue to get even better.

We love this area because it gives you the best of both worlds — quick access to Folly Beach and Downtown Charleston without the traffic, parking headaches, or crowds that come with staying directly downtown.

James Island is one of our favorite parts of Charleston because it’s convenient, relaxed, and close to everything. You can spend the day at the beach, explore downtown restaurants and nightlife, then come back to a spacious, quiet home where your group can spread out and unwind.

You’re also close to grocery stores, local restaurants, parks, and everything needed for an easy and enjoyable stay.

What makes this home stand out is the amount of space, privacy, and entertainment it offers for groups — which can be hard to find in Charleston rentals.

The home features multiple king suites, a private deluxe suite with kitchenette and full bath, large open living spaces, a fenced yard, parking for up to 6 vehicles, and a full game room with ping pong, shuffleboard, and Pac-Man arcade games.

The layout works especially well for families, friend groups, and wedding trips because everyone has room to spread out comfortably instead of feeling cramped together.

Being just minutes from both Folly Beach and Downtown Charleston makes it easy to enjoy the best of the Lowcountry while still having a relaxing home base to come back to after a day exploring.
