I recommend this property for anyone seeking a secure and convienent place to stay in Hanover. It is less expensive than a hotel with many convienences. There is a full kitchen which allowed us to make breakfast a few days as well as allowed my wife to prep our dog's meals for the week as he has all his meals cooked. It was close to the park and to downtown Hanover. We were traveling with our special needs Jackchi (collapsing trachea) and this was so close to Wirt Park for him to play. We had a washer and dryer which was great for washing clothes so we'd not have to take dirty ones home. The ceiling is a bit low in some places but if you are cautious, it isn't a problem. We had plenty of room to spread out and to relax on days we weren't visiting friends and family. The air conditioner isn't very powerful so on hot days that may be a concern but a small fan helps. My wife always travels with one (perimenopause) so we were fine. There are two doors to get into the apartment which made us feel very secure. The apartment was clean, spacious, convienent and very nice. This is our new place to stay when we come back home to visit. It is in the middle of all of our family and friends.
We were visiting York and needed a place to stay. This is about 1/2 hour out...and it was WONDERFUL. (1) The place was clean, (2) The space was perfect for my wife, myself and the dogs. The room was quiet. The shower was hot. Communication with the property owner/manager was wonderful. What a WONDERFUL stay. A I would not hesitate to go back.Things you should be aware of.. (1) They wrote that the ceiling is incredibly low...lol, and it actually is. I banged my head at one point. I am about 5'8 so be aware of that. The ceiling slopes down so it is taller on one end and shorter on the other. As long as you are conscious of that, there shouldn't be any problems...but if you are taller, you really need to be thoughtful. (2) The parking spot is almost opposite from where the room is, which is located near street with the arcade. It is in the church lot (I think #62). There is a tag for the church in the kitchen.
The ceiling is low. If you are over 5’9”, you will hit your head. Very clean and well-appointed. Parking is best if there is only one car. It is quiet and comfortable.
I stayed for a week while in town for work. Everything was very clean and the space was exactly what I needed. I believe I saw on another review about the gradual drop in the ceiling as you move from the kitchen into the living room so that is the only thing to watch out for. I’m 6’1 and managed it just fine. Would stay again!
