Come and enjoy a little bit of Heaven at Tom’s Cabin. It’s a unique, tranquil, authentic log cabin built by hand in 1960 by a father and his son from locally sourced logs. This is a retreat and a rare find! Enjoy the wildlife as you sip a cup of coffee on the back deck.
The space
The cabin is approx 950 sq ft. Located on approx 3 acres on the edge of the town of Wakefield. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. There is a large pole barn on the property that we hope to partially open to snowmobilers in the winter along with a man-cave. The kitchen will accommodate a chef’s needs and then some with multiple cooking utensils and plenty of spices. The living room has a wood-burning fireplace open to guests with demonstrated familiarity. The high ceiling beams make the cabin feel spacious and just to add a magic touch, we’ve added twinkle lights. The bedrooms are comfortable and each have a closet for storage. The backyard has a picnic table and fire pit for late night campfires.
Guest access
The cabin is accessible and a loft not yet for guests use is marked as such. The pole barn will be open at some point. Entire use of property grounds is open to guests
Other things to note
If booking in the winter, be prepared for lots of snow and be careful. While we have a crew that plows the driveway and shovels the sidewalk, it’s possible to receive a foot of snow during your stay. We provide a shovel and ice for the walk.
