Arrival & Setting
Sail Away Home is accessed via a private lakeside road. The drive in takes approximately 18 minutes and follows a strict 10-mile-per-hour speed limit, creating a quiet, scenic arrival that many guests find to be part of the experience.

- To help you settle in comfortably, we recommend planning ahead before arrival.
- The nearest full grocery store is approximately 45 minutes away, so we encourage guests to
complete grocery shopping in advance.
- Please remember to bring any personal items you may need during your stay, including
sunscreen, bug spray, medications, and toiletries.
-For the safety of our guests, we encourage you to choose cans over bottles
House Guidelines
- We ask all guests to treat Sail Away Home with the same care and respect they would their
own home.
- Children must be supervised while near the water, dock, or beach. Life jackets are strongly
recommended for all children when they are outside, especially on the dock or beach,
swimming and water activities.
- This retreat is best suited for quiet enjoyment. Parties, events, and large gatherings are not
permitted.
- We ask there be no glass outside (shatter proof glasses, plates and wine glasses provided)
- Please observe quiet hours in the evenings to respect the peaceful setting and nearby
residences.
- Maximum occupancy is 8 guests.
- Parking is available for up to 3 vehicles.
- No pets.
- No smoking inside the retreat.
