Cosy & Comfortable

We very much enjoyed our stay! Our accommodations were cosy and comfortable, with everything we needed at our fingertips. Rustic Acre is conveniently located, and was a great place for our "working vacation". If we ever come back for the same event, we will definitely stay again.

Loved It!!!

We loved our stay, the cabin was clean, and the property was quiet. Our favorite part was Marley and Delilah (the dogs on site), Marley joint is for breakfast each day, and Delilah was a huge fan of belly rubs. We can’t wait to come again!

Wonderful Place!

My husband and I spent five nights here. The cabin was perfect for us. We cooked all of our meals and took advantage of the outdoor gas grill on the property. The owners were always available for any questions. We definitely will be back to Rustic Acres on our next trip!

Perfect mountain getaway

Jason and Joanne have a wonderfully run business with plenty of local charm and flair. My wife and I came for a long holiday weekend and there are zero complaints. They are available at a moments notice for anything and ensured that we had a comfortable stay. The next time we come back to Estes we will absolutely try to stay at the Rustic Acre again!

Great place to stay while visiting Estes Park/RMNP.

The Rustic Acres property is well maintained and the Prospect Miners Cabin was a great place to stay at while visiting the area. It was close enough to downtown to be convenient, but away enough to avoid the traffic. The cabin was comfortable. The owners, who live on site, were respectful of giving the guests privacy, but friendly and helpful if you needed something or wanted to know something. Would recommend this place to family/friends.

Cute, Comfortable, and Close to it all

We enjoyed staying in Estes Park at the Prospect Cabin. It’s perfect for a couple and their dog. Anywhere you want to go in Estes is within a couple miles…drive or walk (we did both). We cooked ourselves breakfast most mornings before heading to Rocky Mountains National Park to hike. Then came back to town for dinner and drinks at various breweries around town. We really enjoyed our stay.

Friendly is Right

The Millers are great hosts and Prospect Unit is well equipped. Good location for hiking and mountain views. Golf course where Elk were in rut just around the corner. Estes Park/RMNP worth the trip.

Close to RMNP!

This was a great location to stay if you plan on visiting RMNP. Jason was very communicative and let us know in advance our reservation had changed a bit. We were looking forward to the coziness of the smaller cabin but had to switch to a larger one due to some last minute problems. Also it was closer to a busy road than we had thought, we were expecting it to be more remote but other than that it was clean, convenient access to the park and located and food suggestions were appreciated!

Cozy cabin

We recently stayed for two nights while visiting Estes for their Winter Festival. We brought our lab and kept her in a kennel in the cabin while we were out. There was plenty of access to places to walk her and being "dog-friendly" was a key reason we chose this cabin. The location was very quiet and clean, the cabin well equipped, and the owners were very kind in allowing us a later check-out. We brought our two kids (ages 11 and 8) and this unit definitely would be better suited for a couple, although my kids had no complaints.

Great cabin near downtown!

My husband and I stayed in this cabin for five nights. It was well equipped and beautifully decorated. Unfortunately we picked one of the hottest weeks of summer to visit Estes Park. The back bedroom can get a little warm but luckily the owners supplied fans to circulate the air. The location is great, just a short drive to downtown Estes Park. We appreciated and utilized the restaurant and hike recommendations that were provided in the cabin. The property dogs were great, especially Delilah. Overall, a good stay...would definitely return.

Terrific little cabin

This cabin is updated and so cutely decorated! The jetted tub was so clean and nice. All the pots and pans you’d need- ceramic and not flaking Teflon- was nice! The mattress was very comfy and seemed newer. Location was great- only 5 min from town. It was quiet. We really enjoyed our stay. My husband and I are both shorter than 5’9” and I think that is the height limit I would recommend for this cabin. The ceilings are very short and the shower is probably around 5’9” or 5’10” max. It wasn’t a problem for us, but it could be if you are taller than 5’8”. There are several cabins on site so if you’re taller maybe they’d have another cabin available to better accommodate you. I would totally recommend this place. I bet their other cabins are just as nice.

Adorable prospector's cabin!

Prospect Miners cabin is an adorable property perched on a hill right off hwy 7 overlooking the town of Estes Park. The little cabin is comfortably appointed in a ski lodge theme with all the accessories one needs to cook, sleep comfortably, wifi, DVD, and even a jacuzzi! Jason and Joanne are wonderful hosts who are quick to help you with anything you might need, including information on good locations for a great meal or a good brewery. The cabin is conveniently located near the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, Longs Peak and so many hiking and snowshoeing trails it isn't possible to name them all. In short, Rustic Acre's is an ideal location for your next stay if you are planning a trip to Estes Park. We stayed a week and when we left wished we had time for another few days. We will definitely be back for another stay at the little Prospect Miner's Cabin! Thanks Jason and Joanne for a wonderful week! J&J

Nice Place for a 'Short' Overnight Stay

Cute, quirky little place, nothing luxurious but it's an old cabin so wasn't expecting that. Full kitchen is nice, lots of room for two people and our dog. Jetted tub in the living space was a bit odd, but not a problem. Only major issue: the listing stated that if you are over 5'10", you will have to duck in the shower. Unfortunately, much of the cabin is not for vertically enhanced persons like me at 6'3". The eating area, some doors, half of the bedroom, and the shower are all very short, forcing me to literally duck and hunch over when moving in those areas. Still cracked my head twice, but that's my bad. I get it, old building and all, but recommend being clearer about the height restrictions - I would have booked a bigger, more expensive cabin had I known.Overall, very nice though, good quiet location in the off-season, Lumpy Ridge Brewing across the street was wonderful. Owners were quick to answer a question about the property. Good value for the money.
