Dear holidaymakers,
welcome to Duppach in the Vulkaneifel. Our house is situated on a hill in the middle of a lush green property on the outskirts of town. Here you’ll find a cosy and peaceful atmosphere, a beautiful view, and the perfect starting point for your excursions, hikes, or bike rides.
The bright holiday apartment has a separate entrance, is located on the ground floor, and offers 90 square metres plus a terrace. It was completely renovated in 2020 and consists of:

• a spacious kitchen-living room

• a large living room

• a bathroom with a large shower

• a bedroom with a double bed

• Bedroom with two single beds

• 33-square-meter south-facing terrace.

Shopping options are available in the Eifel towns of Gerolstein, Hillesheim, and Prüm, located 10–15 km away.

Some information about the village and the surrounding area:

• Duppach is a typical Eifel village with a church, a village restaurant, expansive countryside, beautiful streams, and a large forest area. Be sure to check out Duppach’s website.

• The sweeping view from the Eifelblick overlook at Heilert, above Duppach, across the vast Eifel landscape is truly unique.

• The surrounding area is ideal for both short and longer hikes, including the Eifelsteig partner trail “Maare & Volcanoes.” 

• The grounds of the Roman archaeological site feature faithful reconstructions of Roman structures, including a six-post granary with informational displays.

• On the outskirts of town lies the Eifel’s smallest water maar, the Eichholzmaar. 

• Another point of interest is the Sauerbrunnen spring, also known as the Drees, housed in a pavilion on the outskirts of town. Here, anyone is welcome to draw fresh, iron-rich mineral water.

• You may also be familiar with the so-called “Adenauervilla,” located in the Kammerwald forest.

• Other destinations are well worth a visit, such as the Eagle and Wolf Park in Pelm, the Eifel Zoo in Lünebach, Germany’s only continuously growing waterfall at Dreimühlen, the numerous volcanic cones and maars, well-preserved castles and ruins, the Nürburgring, and much more.

• In addition to the wide variety of hiking opportunities in the expansive natural landscape, the Eifel also offers excellent options for cycling—whether you prefer a more athletic ride on a road bike or mountain bike, or a more leisurely and relaxing ride on the bike trails with places to stop for refreshments. This is particularly possible on the numerous bike routes in the Duppach area that follow old railway tracks.
