About this property

House at the Point: Off-Grid Oceanfront Cabin

Unplug and unwind at House at the Point, a simple, rustic coastal cabin set just 50 feet from the ocean in one of the most spectacular locations on Deer Isle. Located on the water between Burnt Cove and Crockett Cove, this quiet, deep-water setting offers sweeping panoramic views and a true sense of retreat—while still being close to a neighborhood market, hardware store, and gas station.

This is an ideal getaway for guests seeking simplicity, solitude, and inspiration on the Maine coast.

Please read carefully — this is a true off-grid camp:
No electricity
No Wi-Fi
No potable (drinking) water

The cabin is well equipped for simple coastal living, with:
Propane refrigerator
Propane stovetop (no oven)
Propane lanterns in living and dining areas
Granite fireplace for warmth on cool evenings (firewood provided)

Sleeping:
Sleeps up to 4
Open sleeping loft with one queen bed and two twin beds
Stairs required to access the loft
The cabin uses non-potable well water for the bathroom and kitchen sink. Guests must bring their own drinking water; a public water spigot is available at nearby Burnt Cove Market. Thoughtful water use is important.

Good to know:
Lobster boats can be seen and heard from the cabin and start early
The Mark Island foghorn is audible
The path to the water is uneven and rocky
Not well suited for children under 6

Dogs with responsible owners will be considered. Pet fee of $125 will apply.
The calendar is currently set up for Saturday - Saturday rentals. I do have some flexibility depending on the dates you need so please reach out if you are looking for different dates.
