The ground floor also features a separate kitchen with a microwave, dishwasher, oven, and ceramic cooktop, as well as a large dining room with a view of the sea and a bathroom. Upstairs are the bedrooms—one with a double bed and one with two single beds. A bathroom and a loft with a fabulous view of the Bodden round out the picture.

Site:

Welcome to the Kormoran holiday home in idyllic Kammin on the Wittow Peninsula. The historic ferry town of Kammin—a district of Breege—is accessible only via a narrow dirt road, surrounded by rapeseed and wheat fields dotted with poppies and cornflowers. The idyllic view of the Breetzer Bodden and the special tranquility and natural beauty are what make Kammin so special. Large parts of the Ummanz Peninsula are part of the Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft National Park, one of Europe’s largest and most important crane resting areas. Here, the birds migrating from Scandinavia find an abundant food supply. The best time to observe the “birds of happiness” is in October, when their numbers peak. However, if you missed them in the fall, you should try again in the spring, when they stop here once more on their way back to their nesting grounds.

South of Kammin, you’ll find the open-air stage in Ralswiek, where the Störtebeker Festival is held every year. This is one of Germany’s most popular open-air theatre productions, recounting the life of the legendary buccaneer. With plenty of humorous dialogue, naval battles, and spectacular pyrotechnics, a visit to the festival is an unforgettable experience, capped off by a spectacular fireworks display at the end.

There’s also plenty to discover further north. Take Cape Arkona, for example. Here, visible from afar, stand the famous lighthouses that have been attracting tourists from all over Germany for many years. At the sunniest spot on the island, you’ll naturally want to enjoy the view of the open sea from the cliff, which rises over 40 metres high.

Rügen offers the perfect setting for any kind of holiday. There’s something for everyone here. We look forward to welcoming you to Germany’s most beautiful island!
