This 40 m² holiday rental is located on the 2nd floor in the Baltic Sea resort town of Baabe and can accommodate up to three people. The Baltic Sea resort of Baabe is located on the Mönchgut Peninsula, behind the Mönchgutgraben. This is a historic boundary that once separated Mönchgut from the island of Rügen. Until 1535, this area was owned by the Cistercian monastery of Eldena near Greifswald. Towards the end of the 18th century, fishing and agriculture began to develop, and around 1913, the town was designated a seaside resort. Strandstraße is the resort’s main promenade. Here you’ll find restaurants, cafés, and souvenir shops. The Baltic Sea resort’s wide, fine-sand beach is sure to delight everyone. Here, you can spend a full day at the beach. But the Baltic Sea resort of Baabe offers holidaymakers more than just beach fun... Right on the Baaber Beck is Northern Germany’s smallest ferry service. To get from the Baltic resort of Baabe to Moritzdorf, you call out: “Ferryman, take us across!” The tradition of the Moritzdorf rowing ferry dates back as far as 1891. From here, wonderful biking and hiking trails stretch out, passing through meadows, forests, and the Bodden. Here you’ll find unspoiled nature, and if you want to catch a great view, you’ll have to hike up to Moritzburg. There’s also a small restaurant there.
