The appliances were much older, which was fine, but some of them were not in working condition, such as the coffee pot. There were basic essentials that were not stocked such as hand soap, which we had to purchase. All in all though, it was a beautiful house with amazing scenery, and we had a wonderful time together as a family. Thanks for letting us stay over the holidays.
Very comfortable spacious house for the family to stay.

I rented this for my brother and his family and they loved it! They found it comfortable and loved the location; a countryside location and feel, but accessible to activities. Next time he visits, he plans on staying there again!
Lovely home with a beautiful view, surprisingly close to where we needed to go. The host was amazing and allowed us to do an early check-in which was greatly appreciated. Definitely recommend!
Dated but reliable, very easy to find and great management

Sweet and comfortable home conveniently located on the same street as the wedding venue!
The hosts were easy to work with and they even provided a wonderful pantry, fresh fruit, and delicious organic basil to enjoy! Comfortably fit 8, and the view and breeze from the deck was so relaxing. Thank you for a wonderful VRBO experience.

Thank you so much for your review, it was a pleasure to host you and we hope to see you again.

The property is nice - no frills but comfortable beds. A good place to sleep and perhaps cook a meal or two. The hosts went the extra mile for us when there was a bit of a glitch re my VRBO account. Really appreciated that!!
Our family stayed over Labor Day weekend. The house was perfect for the 4 of us. Karen was very fast on responding to my questions.
Very quiet location. Clean home. Nice afternoon/evening breeze. Close by to Escondido/San Marcos.
I would definitely stay here again when visiting the area.

Thank you for your kind review. Safe travels, and we look forward to hosting you again next time you're in this area.
The location is stunning! The home is well kept and beautiful. The beds are so comfortable! It was unfortunate that we happend to be there during a heatwave (daily highs of 105°!) Coming from the desert of Arizona, we are used to having air conditioning but they had plenty of floor and table fans to help move the air around. T

So sorry about the heat wave. Turns out that August is the month we get hit with that. Glad we were able to assist in having extra fans.

Very clean. Loved the towels. Everything worked. House was cool inside even tho it was hot outside. Checkin and checkout Instructions were easy to follow and reasonable. TBH everything is dated, but is clean and in good condition.

Thank you Jessica for your review. Yes it is a house in the Countryside. So glad you were comfortable
We arrived and could not access the property. The key was NOT in the lock box as indicated in the check-in instructions. The host did not respond until 4 hours later. VRBO couldn't even get a hold of the host any sooner. That is unacceptable. We have a baby, were on a tight schedule, and couldn't wait around. We had to self relocate. Host didn't even attempt to rectify the situation. I don't have confidence in using this service, let alone anything offered by this host. Terrible customer service, terrible experience.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in
Disliked: Listing accuracy
We arrived at 10 pm to a home that was 60 degrees inside. The heater didn’t work and there was no hot water. Had to call the number provided for assistance and the lady said she was no longer in charge of it. She said the propane tank must be empty and the person who was supposed to be managing it, wasn’t doing a good job of it. Needless to say, we had to find somewhere else to stay for the weekend which cost us more money and was a huge inconvenience. The listing also doesn’t mention that there is a staircase inside the home that goes down to a laundry room where someone that has access to the laundry room (need a key) from the exterior of the home could come in and enter the home where your family is staying. Made us very uncomfortable so we are glad we didn’t end up staying there.

Not recommendable
The air conditioner didn't work and there was only a fan to help the hot air circulate. I don't find it worth the price. The house was stuffy and not so clean. There were spider webs everywhere. There are people that live in the bottom area; no privacy.

WOW! DO NOT RENT TO Jaime R., DOGS BARK CONSTANTLY, THEN THEY LEAVE A BAD REVIEW THINKING YOU WON'T. We live right next door and were available the entire weekend. I am shocked at this review. First of all, The Whole House Fan was installed in March of 2015, it is a beautiful system in perfect working order. Instructions were in your welcome packet. We do not control the weather, but we work very hard to make sure our guest are comfortable. No one lives downstairs, but it is a separate space with separate entrance. Both places are completely private. For you as a Renter, we need to let you know, the constant barking from dogs, seemed no difference when you were home or not. Please note that unless it's a service dog, it is a courtesy to allow dogs, we do because we are animal lovers. But Constant Barking is not what we expect from owners who care or travel with their pets. We're sorry if the house was not what you expected. We consistently make ourselves available to ensure its comfortable and welcoming. Also, we have a cleaning service, which if there was an issue with cobwebs, it would have been addressed immediately had you let us know. Communication would have helped a lot, since there is no way to verify your claim. It is our belief that your review was Unjustified and Mean Spirited. Seems like this stay did not work out for either of us.
It was a quiet area. When we entered the house it had an unclean odor. It was an old house that wasn't kept up. The house was dirty. All the appliances were disgusting. The kettle had water and it smelled. The coffee maker looks like it hasn't been cleaned in weeks. The toaster was filthy. All the dishes, pots and pans were dirty. We had to wash everything we used. The sponge was old and torn. We had to buy a new coffeemaker and new sponges. We had to buy a Swiffer to mop the floor. It was grimy. Not enough towels. And the garbage disposal was broken!!!
Wonderful property. Would stay again. Only issue is master bathroom door knob needs attention, as it sticks a bit when closed.

Charming & comfortable 1960's-'70s era ranch
Very comfortable for two couples and a single. Adventure to get to, great winding country roads and once you arrive there is a wonderful view from the deck. After a couple of trips we drove like the locals!
Had a wonderful time, this was a return visit to this property. Wonderful owners are on site and very responsive and helpful. This time we were not in charge of the dates since we were attending a wedding. We did hit very warm weather and wished for some AC! We would definitely return on our own schedule, when the temperatures are forecast to be a bit cooler!
