Summerview- Private Seaview Home on Lubbers Quarters
Summary:
Welcome to Summerview- Located on the east side of Lubbers Quarters, just down from Cracker P’s and Lubbers Landing and directly across the channel from Tahiti Beach, one of the best known beaches in all of Abaco. Featuring a wraparound deck, screened in lanai, and lookout tower with panoramic views, this home is convenient and close to everything while affording guests the utmost privacy to relax and unwind without interruption.
The Space:
In terms of layout, this home offers three bedrooms and two bathrooms, with a bonus enclosed outdoor shower. The home features three levels, the ground floor (with two bedrooms and a bathroom), the primary floor (primary bedroom, kitchen, living room, and screened lanai), and the lookout tower (features workout equipment, seating, and is connected to the upstairs level by a spiral staircase originating from the screened lanai area). The kitchen is fully equipped and located on the primary floor and features an oversized island with plenty of seating. The living room is located directly off of the kitchen and features multiple sofas and an armchair, along with a high quality Samsung projector that functions as the living room TV. The image can be expanded to more than 100 inches in size and the wall opposite the projector is optimized for viewing. The screened lanai is accessible from the living room through a set of French doors. The primary bedroom is located upstairs and features a king bed and walk in closet, complete with ensuite bathroom with walk in shower and single vanity. The guest bedrooms are located on the ground floor and each share access to a hallway bathroom featuring a walk in shower with single vanity. One guest room offers twin beds and the other a queen bed. The outdoor shower is located just outside of the entrance to the bottom bedrooms. Please note that the ground level bedrooms and upstairs do not share an interior staircase, making this home well suited to those groups with older kids or mobility restricted family that need to utilize the downstairs level (please note that while technically ground level there are three steps).
This home is located on a private road adjacent to another home owned by our family, which will not be used when this home is being rented. There is also a third home (not visible from the oceanside where this home is located) all the way on the other side of Lubbers Quarters that shares dock and road use with our two family homes. Guests will have access to a dedicated slip that has the name of this home, Summerview, on it. This home is powered by solar and also grid tied with a backup generator, so guests won't have to worry about losing power during their stay. The home also features a high end water filtration system fed by 9,000 gallons of rainwater cisterns, providing guests with the highest quality of water straight from the tap.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the home (upper and lower levels), dock with dedicated slip, kayak launch, and more including a gym room in the lookout tower with speed bag, multiple stationary bikes, rowing machine, yoga mats, and weights. We have paddle boards, two kayaks (a single and double), and other miscellaneous water gear including snorkels, fins, and masks that guests may request access to but are not guaranteed, as we required advance notice to unlock these for you.
Other Things to Note:
We are located on a very remote island called Lubbers Quarters. We have a dock shared with one other home and a slip that guests will have access to that will accommodate up to a 35 foot vessel comfortably. There is a barbecue & Kayak available. The island is only accessible by boat. We recommend checking with the boat rental companies before committing to the house rental. We have sister islands with restaurants and bars with just a short 5 min boat ride away, including Hope Town with its myriad restaurants.. We recommend collecting all grocery items on the main island where the airport is located, as there are no shops on Lubbers Quarters.
A non-refundable cancellation fee of $300 will apply for reservations cancelled prior to the cancellation policy window. This fee covers our credit card processing fees on a refunded deposit payment.
