Our 79 m² holiday rental, “Sonnenwinkel,” is located right in the heart of the Barßel and Saterland recreational area, in the northernmost tip of the Cloppenburg district in Lower Saxony.

Our holiday rental, newly built in 2021, is situated on an idyllic lake in a small holiday home community on the edge of the forest in the village of Harkebrügge.

Spanning two floors, the apartment features two bedrooms, a bathroom with a shower and toilet, and enough space for up to six people (the sixth sleeping arrangement is a travel cot for babies/toddlers).

On the ground floor, the holiday rental features a light-filled living and dining area with a fully equipped kitchen, as well as a high-quality sofa set that converts into a guest bed, along with a Smart TV and Amazon Echo. You’ll also find a bedroom with twin beds (1.8 x 2 m) on the ground floor. The bathroom, featuring a walk-in shower and toilet, a washer-dryer, and a changing table, is located across from the bedroom. There’s also a storage room under the stairs. 

The highlight of the holiday rental is the spacious sauna on the upper floor, which you can use free of charge.

You’ll also find a bright, spacious additional bedroom on the upper floor with two single beds (0.9 x 2 m), which is perfect for the youngest members of the family to play to their hearts’ content. The VELUX CABRIO™ skylight instantly creates a balcony-like roof exit, offering a beautiful view over the roofs of the neighbouring houses towards the swimming lake. You’ll also find a smart TV here. If needed, an additional sleeping arrangement can be set up using a high-quality fold-out guest bed (90 x 200 cm).

You can book our baby package for your baby or toddler. This package includes a high-quality travel cot (60 x 120 cm), a matching children’s mattress with sheets and bedding, a changing table, a high chair, a bathroom stool/toilet seat, a pop-up playpen, a plug-in nightlight, and a stair gate.

When the weather is nice, enjoy the fresh northern air on the covered south-facing terrace, which is equipped with comfortable patio furniture and a gas grill. For example, bicycles you bring along can be stored safely in the utility room.

In case of bad weather, we offer a selection of games and books. In the holiday rental, you’ll find a folder with operating instructions and a guest information booklet containing the most important details about your stay in our home (we’ll also send these to you digitally via email before your holiday). As a special service, we also have a brochure board with flyers for your activities.

Our holiday rental is furnished to a high standard with modern amenities and offers everything you need for a relaxing holiday. For example, the triple-glazed PVC windows are equipped with electric exterior blinds. Additional amenities include underfloor heating, a ventilation system with heat recovery, a large sliding door in the living room, and white interior doors. You’ll also have Wi-Fi (fiber-optic) throughout the entire apartment.
It offers plenty of space and tranquility for you to enjoy a relaxing holiday with the whole family. Thanks to our electronic door lock with a key code, you have flexibility regarding your arrival time.

Harkebrügge is located near Oldenburg (25 km), Bad Zwischenahn (20 km), Papenburg (38 km), the North Sea (80 km), and the Dutch border (60 km).

In the centre of Harkebrügge, you’ll find a bakery, an Edeka supermarket, a butcher shop, a pharmacy, a petrol station, banks (Sparkasse and Volksbank), a steakhouse, and two snack bars. The distance to the centre of Barßel is about 6 km. There, you’ll find additional shopping options, restaurants, and a boat harbour with a great playground for children. Canoe tours from Barßel to Harkebrügge are also available.

There is a barefoot park right next to the lake. Walks around the lake and adventurous forest trails are particularly worth mentioning here.
