Perfect Family Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Laguna Beach. The distance to the beach was short and easy to walk to. The community was very nice. The house was very spacious and perfect for our family of 5. We really enjoyed our vacation!

Twin Lakes was clean and nicely appointed. The place accommodated our family of 6 nicely. Close to the beach, grocery and eating. We were very pleased with this last minute vacation stay!

Just a short walk to the beach.

Great home with a yard! Plenty of room for our family of 6, but we were at the beach most days! Only a short few minute walk and you are in the sand. Safe clean neighborhood and everything you need within a 10 minute drive. We really enjoyed eating out back at the outdoor dining table and watch the turtles in the pond.

Nicest vacation home I've stayed in.

Very clean, well-stocked and convenient to beach and restaurants. Heating was not working. Turns out it was not properly wired, but it was the coldest Christmas in decades and was probably never used before. It was fixed in record time.

Cockroaches

The night we checked in, upon turning on the downstairs bedroom light a large cockroach ran along the side of the bed. We were able to dispose of this one and a few others the first night. I called and reported the problem. I was asked to submit pictures, which I did. I was told the were Palmetto bugs and they were common. Goggle told me Palmetto bug is another name for cockroach, American Cockroach. They are bigger than German cockroach and just as dirty. We lived with them with off and on killings the entire stay

Please know that unfortunately, palmetto bugs are extremely common in this area, and even with routine pest control, they are never able to be fully irradicated. The home has monthly pest control to help prevent them from entering the home as best as possible. We apologize that this caused a negative impact on your stay. We do hope we have the chance to impress you in the future.

Nice Place

Property overall was very nice. Plenty of space for our Family of 7 including 2 infants. Nice backyard area with furniture overlooking small lake which was perfect for mobile work space in mornings and for kids playing, Fire pit would’ve been perfect especially for the cooler Nov nights. City had beach revitalization project at nearest beach access which was bit of inconvenience but only minor. Overall nice place for larger family. Communication with VACASA was excellent as they checked in few times times to make sure stay was pleasant.

Great vacay house

This house was very cozy. It was placed wonderfully 1 block from the beach. It wasn’t a far walk at all. Had a nice porch swing and back patio. We spent our nights and mornings outside in the patio drinking coffee. The house was set up wonderfully as well. Plenty of space, it was very clean. Would definitely stay here again and again.

Great distance to the beach

This place was great overall! Not a bad walking distance to the beach! Which is helpful with little ones. The dumpster was full when we got there. We couldn't take any trash out of the house until the day we were leaving. I clean condos and houses and was surprised at the amount of dust on the ceiling fans and pictures. The basket on top of the fridge had a dirty plate in it. We didn't know that once we took the trash out that there was no garbage bags. Usually one is left in bottom. The beds were super hard. But overall was a great stay other than the few things. The back yard and distance to beach are well worth it!

Nothing but problems

First, this is not a VRBO, it is a management company which has lots of properties in this location. Important because you are not dealing with an owner, but a management company which may explain our experience. This place is the most disgusting place we have ever stayed. The kitchen floor had not been cleaned. I wiped up some ice I spilled and the paper towel was black! As mentioned by another renter, there were no dishrags or dish towels, also no broom or mop. The grill is rusted and dirty, it could not be used and not sure why it is even there. The garbage bin was full and at the curb so no place for our trash. The management company said they would pick up and empty, they did not. On our third day, the city garbage picked it up.. There were no garbage bags for the kitchen waste basket and only 1 roll of paper towels. The living room area rug had not been cleaned in a while, there were stains all over and it had not been vacumned prior to our arrival. Something was spilled on the wood floor and had not been cleaned up and it was dried on the floor. Amost every wall and some doors had stains on them. The wall behind the trash can in the kitchen was stained and covered in debril, as was the floor Multiple holes in the walls. The shower door in the master bathroom had mildew and dirty soap scum in the frame. Every light fixture was caked with dirt inside and out and in many cases had dust hanging off the fixture. Kitchen vent was dirty and rusted. Every window and sill was covered in dirt. On arrival the TVs did not work. Managed to get the living room one to work but couldn't get the bedroom to work. It took 4 phone calls and over 24 hours before it was finally fixed. I was refunded the cleaning fee and credit for the inconvenience but our stay was not pleasant and charging a cleaning fee for this place when it is not cleaned is not ethical. With a deep, deep clean this could be a nice rental In the condition it is in, I would not recommend doing so. A manager of the rentals and/or cleaning should be inspecting their units to make sure they are rentable always, but especially in these time of COVID. I have pictures of all the issues and plan to send them to the rental company

Beachy, Cozy and Convenient

Just looking for a nice place to spend a few days at the beach and celebrate a milestone. The house is a short walk from a beautiful beach and a short drive from everything we needed. The house is well equipped and had everything we needed. I hope to come back soon and definitely recommend.
