Your assignment is to leave the city worries behind. Say yes before the shoulda-wouldas pile up. Come out for the water and the trail, then let the firehouse do the quiet part—whitetail at the glass, hammock, cold brew, heart rate down.
This is our renovated 1,900 sq ft mid-century firehouse in the Texas Hill Country: a spacious, original building with industrial appeal. Polished concrete, high ceilings, a wide-open plan. More than 50 feet of glass garage doors look onto your own wildlife acre, where deer, fox, and native birds move through the trees. You get the whole outpost and the half-acre to yourselves. After dark, Dripping Springs is a dark-sky destination. Step outside, light the fire pit, and stay out with the stars.
The space This is an open living concept with large spacious rooms flooded with natural light. The bedrooms are adjacent and divided with canvas panels. Each bedroom has an attached water closet.
The great room offers 14-foot ceilings, a lot of light, generous sofa seating, and two places to eat. There’s a workspace if you need a few quiet hours, and a full kitchen with stainless appliances for coffee, tacos, or whatever you picked up on the way in.
The bathrooms are simple and modern, with a rainfall shower. Sleeping is flexible: a premium queen daybed and a separate bunk area, dressed in 100% cotton linens.

About the host
Hosted by Ami Martin
Originally from Portland, Oregon where I was an BnB Superhost with more than 550 five star reviews, I moved to Texas in 2021 to enjoy more sun. As a host, I like helping guests relax and discover natural beauty including wildlife, plants and local culture in Texas Hill Country. When I'm not hosting, I work as a wine sommelier at Grape Creek Vineyards.
Why they chose this property
Deer Creek Ranch, where the firehouse is located offers a laid back atmosphere where neighbors take care of each other and wildlife is plentiful. I love watching the white tail deer in the backyard of the firehouse and appreciate Dripping Springs "dark skies" initiative for star gazing and bird migration preservation.

Staying in a renovated firehouse offers a truly unique experience. With 50 ft of glass doors (two engine bays), enjoying the scenic beauty and wildlife is seamless.
