Nice stay

Lovely apartment with lovely covered terrace. The pool was lovely and we almost had it to ourselves. Didn't take long to get into the local town or Pistoia. Beautiful surroundings with peace and quiet.

Some positives, but overall overratedBased on previous reviews and the listing photos, we had higher expectations. Reviews and photos are important when booking, so a balanced perspective is useful.The biggest issue was the lack of air conditioning. Although AC is not advertised, with temperatures above 35C during our stay, the bedrooms became very uncomfortable. The owner kindly provided one fan, and we bought another ourselves. AC would significantly improve the property.On the positive side, the beds were comfortable and there is a large pool – clearly the property's best feature. It is very shallow and excellent for younger children, but less suitable for teenagers and adults wanting to swim properly.Wi-Fi is limited, making Netflix and other streaming unreliable. The kitchen is basic, with no dishwasher or oven, only a stovetop.The listing photos also appear outdated. The property needs maintenance and attention to match the impression given by the photos. Cleanliness was below the standard we expected.The rental price is relatively moderate, so others may consider it acceptable value. For us, however, it was not good value for money. The pool and beds are positives, but the lack of AC, limited facilities, cleanliness and maintenance issues significantly affected our stay.
