Papakea K404 - Penthouse with Gorgeous Ocean View!

Welcome to our home at the Papakea Resort, a 13 acre oceanfront resort with a true feeling of aloha. The complex is comprised of two sets of low-rise buildings, each with its own oceanfront pool area including a spa, a covered cabana and multiple gas barbecues. The resort also has two large putting greens, two shuffleboard courts, three lighted tennis courts and a number of beautiful koi ponds.

For those of you who just can't leave work behind, Papakea offers wireless Internet access throughout the resort. When you are ready to relax, the golf courses of Kapalua and Kaanapali are nearby, and great snorkeling and boogie-boarding beaches are within walking distance. In addition, Papakea has its own Activity Desk, staffed by professionals who can help you plan any of the great activities that await you on the island of Maui.

Our oceanview condo on the top floor has been completely remodeled and includes top-of-the-line cabinets, tile, paint, carpet and appliances. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in 1200 square feet of space.

The living area has ample seating, as well as cable TV and a DVD player. The dining table seats six, with additional seating on the ocean view lanai. The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, cooking utensils, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. The unit also has its own washer and dryer.

The master bedroom has a pillow-top king size bed, plenty of dresser and closet space, and a flat screen TV. It has a full ocean view and its own en suite bathroom. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, separate vanity area, and a hair dryer. The second bedroom on the main level has a queen and a twin bed, another TV and an adjacent bathroom. The loft overlooking the living area has a queen size bed, and a sitting area with a TV and a DVD player. Great for the kids! All rooms enjoy air conditioning for those rare days when tropical breezes aren't enough.

This condo is amazing- book this immediately!!! Plenty of sleeping space, beautiful views, equipped with beach chairs, cooler, grill equipment, full kitchen to cook anything, upgraded bathrooms, very comfortable beds. Very central location which is perfect for exploring the island. We loved the 9 nights we spent in Papakea K404!

The place was clean and equipped with everything that we needed for our stay. Our host also left very helpful information regarding the places to eat , shop and sites to see. Very nice property. We were admiring the attention to the details that the grounds crew would put in to the care of the grounds and the pool. Beautiful view of the sunset right out the back door. The beaches in the surrounding area were beautiful and great for snorkeling. Many Sea Turtles and different species of fish. I would definitely recommend this place and will come back again.

This condo had everything it promised! It was so clean and comfortable, we were so happy with everything! The view is unbeatable. Very short walk to the beach just off to the left with a big shady tree! There were beach chairs, umbrella and coolers to use as well. The resort is very lovely and well maintained. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub in the evenings. The owner was great with communication and she is very friendly. When we come back to Maui we hope this unit is available!

This condo is exactly as described. It is on the 4th floor (top floor) with a nice porch overlooking the pool and views of the ocean. It is well equipped with lots of nice beach chairs, beach/pool towels, plenty of dishes and flatware, bbq tools, nice wine glasses and even travel coffee cups which was an unexpected surprise and we actually used!! Walking distance to a nice shopping center with market, a shave ice store, and Slappy Cakes (fun breakfast). Carol was so nice and reached out during our stay to make sure everything was working for us. This place is a gem and we hope to return again soon!

It's hard to believe such a beautiful place exists, but it does! Papakea K404 is exactly as it looks in photos, and we were happy with our stay! Also it's within walking distance to a grocery store, so that was a bonus!

Our stay was amazing. The location was excellent, close to amazing beaches, restaurants, and the view was AMAZING! The owner was incredible, checking on us, especially when the fires started. She even tried to find us alternate accommodations when we had to be evacuated from front street.

Amazing Place To Stay!

This property is an absolute gem! Clean, well stocked kitchen, beautiful ocean view, comfy beds, cool air conditioning and a great resort. One of our favorite parts of this VRBO is that we could sit on our balcony and whale watch every morning. If you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle, but still experience the Kaanapali area, this is your place. Carol was the best VRBO host you could ever ask for. She’s very knowledgeable and helpful about things to do in the area, and quick to respond to any questions. She also accommodated us with a later check out since we had a late flight time. Thank Carol for an amazing stay at Papakea. We look forward to coming back again soon!

Tropical magic at Papakea

On our first day, a property owner walked by us and said "don't tell anyone about this place, it's a secret." I get it now. You will love Papakea, and Carol is an excellent, communicative host. We had the best time as a family staying at this condo, and the views really are as shown in photos. The place was so comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed to make our Maui vacation the most memorable one ever.

We went to Maui on our honeymoon 30 years ago and have gone at least once a year every year since. We always dreamed of having our own home on the island and were lucky enough to find Papakea 20 years ago. Papakea is one of the few remaining resorts on Maui that still maintains the feel of old Hawaii. It's quiet, with beautiful landscaping, plenty of open areas and a magnificent ocean view. We have enjoyed many wonderful vacations here with friends and family over the years.
