Nice new house that provided all the basic essentials. Very quiet and peaceful. Had a little difficulty with check in as the instructions were not accurate but we were able to contact someone and get a quick response. Loved that it was pet friendly so we could travel with our dogs.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Photos of this property are accurate—it’s new, very clean, comfortable furniture, quiet & safe-feeling setting. It’s a distance from Acadia Nat’l Park, but it was a good hub for other exploration in the area. The “welcome book” was very helpful for local and beyond attractions and resources. The kitchen is stocked for basic food prep, but bring your own spices if you like more than salt and pepper. It would have been helpful to have a map of the trails (we should have messaged host to provide), and would suggest the host provide the key box location when sending the code. Thank you for making our time in Maine feel like home away from home!

We were the first guests at Cherryfield Trails and it far exceeded our expectations! The cottage itself is wonderful, but the location in Cherryfield is truly special. It is stunning, quiet, and peaceful part of Maine that allowed us to fully unwind. The village is incredibly charming and full of character. One of our favorite parts of the stay was spending our evening sitting on the front porch, relaxing in the quiet night air, and taking advantage of the spectacular, clear skies for star gazing. Dog friendly, we took our coffee and walked the trails early in the morning and loved the convenient dog pen just outside the back door. It also served as the perfect base for exploring. We easily took a day trip out to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, which was an absolute highlight of our vacation. If you are looking for a peaceful, scenic getaway with easy access to incredible coastal destinations, this is the place to book. We loved our stay and highly recommend this hidden gem. Thank you for hosting us!

We truly enjoyed a weeklong stay in this comfortable and modern Maine house near the Shoodic portion of Acadia National Park, well suited for 1-2 couples & ready for dogs! Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and nice; the full bath had ready hot water and bedrooms were spacious with comfortable mattresses and clean linens. There is a screened porch with rocking chairs overlooking a bucolic front yard, and a small fenced dog run off the back porch. The kitchen had modern appliances, several staples (salt, pepper, cooking oil, aluminum foil, dish soap) and a set of sharp carving knives, but for guests who plan to cook a lot (there aren't food options right nearby), it could benefit from adding some steak knives and small bowls, but the gas grill fired up just fine. Also: reliable and fast Wifi; efficient central AC (didn't need it in early September); and a thoughtfully curated selection of maps & brochures detailing regional parks & food options, a boon for us as our trip was hiking-centered. The yard is close to a road, but the road is not busy, neighbors were friendly, and the house is walking distance to two maintained trails that we found, including one to a rocky outlook adjacent to Tunk Mountain. We didn't find clear directions in the house to local trails or river access, but a neighbor gave us some pointers to nearby hikes in walking range. Overall a great experience. If you want a quiet, comfortable dog-friendly Maine stay, this is a terrific option!
