This spacious home gives you all the privacy you want and the coastal access you've come to Maine to enjoy. 14 acres of private wooded land. Eat lobster on the deck -- there are 3 of them! Walk down to the water and launch your kayak. Hop in the car and head to Acadia for a hike -- its only a half an hour away. Or just settle back and enjoy the sound of the waves lapping on the shore. Waterfront has easy access for swimming, kayaking and paddling. Two kayaks available upon signing a release. And just added - an outdoor shower! The perfect base for your perfect Maine vacation is ready for you, your friends and/or your family.

Awesome home, awesome location. Host is great too. Complete peace and quiet but 15 minutes away from getting adventures on. Well stocked property with everything need. Waterfront is incredible, it’s like having the bay all to yourself. Sunsets are beautiful. We saw plenty of shrimp, schools of fish, lots of loons, a seal bopping in the water, and a bald eagle in the distance.

The cabin is as beautiful as it looks in the photos. It's spacious, very well equipped and beautifully furnished and designed. The grounds are very private and secluded, and we enjoyed watching the sun set over the water most evenings. Jennifer was very helpful and quickly responded to our messages. We would definitely stay here again!

Can’t say enough about this property. The views of the water are just stunning and the property itself is secluded without feeling isolated. The house was exactly as described and just a great base for exploring the area. The Schoodic peninsula is a short drive and must see part of Acadia National Park. Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park is just a little bit longer drive. The value and location of this property is hard to beat if you are considering visiting other places than just Bar Harbor. Would not hesitate to stay again.

This is a fun house to spend time in. Everything feels pretty new--recently renovated, and by a professional. It's nice to have thought out kitchen and dining stuff and not have Aunt Tilley's leftover attic china to eat of! We had a great time and I would highly recommend this house and land

Great house in an idyllic location

A group of three couples used this house as a basis to explore the area around Ellsworth/Arcadia/Bar Harbor. Very close to lots of great things to visit and just out of the way enough to feel private and secluded. Beautiful house and property. We loved our time here!

This is our second stay here, and we had the same peaceful and magical experience as last time! The home is positioned so every room has a view of the bay. We have two young kids and we all enjoyed the small beach, hammock, deck, ferns, games, and proximity to Acadia’s Schoodic Peninsula. The owner is so kind, responsive and helpful. We look forward to next year!

Magical Stay in the Schoodic Area

We loved our stay here: the home blends into the forest and allows the ferns, forest and water be the feature. Our family of 4 and pup were comfortable and I loved the master with en suite shower facing the forest. Ample linens, kitchenware, along with outdoor seating and hammocks to spend time and spread out. We enjoyed the tiny beach on the bay and went swimming and took floats out almost daily. Thank you for a magical stay!

Absolutely stunning views. The house was immaculate and fully stocked. Enjoyed s’mores by the fire pit!! Our grandgirls loved exploring the shore. Nature abounds!!! Beautiful sunset. Close to Acadia and all our adventures. Very thankful to have been able to stay. Only suggestion that our family thought….. maybe a hot tub!!!

We loved this beautiful space on the ocean to wake up to and come home to. The design and layout is unique and it has stunning views all around! Communication was great and this home away from home had everything you could need with personal touches. It could be a romantic getaway or a fun family trip. There are kayaks available to take out with signed release and tons of games to play. We loved how we felt completely secluded down a long path where deer were always waiting for us in the fall foliage. Master bed was comfy and there were fans and heaters in each room along with ceiling fan. Plenty of towels and space to just enjoy!

Beautiful House on the Water

This house is beautiful. It is set back from the road and private. The master bedroom windows look right out onto the water. Acadia National Park, restaurants and stores are a short drive away.The kitchen is very well equipped. We do a lot of cooking and cooked here 11 out of 12 days. The host/owner is warm and responsive. She made sure our stay was very comfortable. This house is pet friendly and very clean. We loved bringing our two pets on this trip. We stayed over Christmas and New Years and the scenery was beautiful.We very much enjoyed our stay and plan to return. We highly recommend this house and this host!

Great stay at this mid-century gem.

We had a wonderful week at this unique home on Taunton Bay. Quiet, peaceful setting with water access and views of the Bay. We loved showering in the spacious walk-in shower with windows looking into the woods. The kitchen has everything you could need, although I wished it had a slightly larger fry pan/cast iron skillet for family cooking. Plenty of things to do nearby, but our favorite was breakfasts on the huge deck with water view. Acadia and Bar Harbor are close by as well as Lamoine Beach which might just be one of the areas best kept secrets. There was great swimming and they allow dogs! Also, don’t miss the granite sculpture garden off the same road as the house. It was very cool. Great communication with the host during our stay whenever we had a question. Thanks for letting us stay at your little plot of paradise!
