Our Haus Auszeit Cruzoh features two comfortably furnished holiday apartments on the outskirts of the village of Schweindorf near Westerholt in the Holtriem joint municipality. This means you’ll be holidaying near the North Sea resort of Dornumersiel and the North Sea spa town of Bensersiel, close to the North Sea coast and the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park in East Frisia.
In our “Auszeit Cruzoh” house, which features two holiday apartments, you’ll enjoy a very peaceful, relaxing, and wonderful holiday—whether you’re travelling as a couple or with a toddler!
The holiday apartments are well-equipped, very comfortable, and thoughtfully designed and furnished, with sizes of approximately 55 and 65 square metres, respectively. The “Abendrot” holiday apartment was freshly renovated in the spring of 2021.
The property is located on the very outskirts of our village, with no immediate neighbors—which means you’ll enjoy an unobstructed view of the open East Frisian countryside! In our beautiful, spacious garden, you can truly relax on the large lawn.
Here in Schweindorf near Westerholt, you’ll find wonderful conditions for a lovely and very relaxing East Frisian holiday. The open countryside, lush meadows, and fields surrounding our village offer unobstructed views and fresh air during wonderful walks and bike rides—all at a safe distance from the tourist hustle and bustle of the North Sea resorts and sluice towns! And we’ll even let you in on the quieter spots right along the dike and by the North Sea.
Westerholt is centrally located with excellent access to many destinations in East Frisia. For example, in the summer, locals here love to go swimming in Tannenhausen, a large, very sheltered inland body of water with a beach and crystal-clear water.
It’s not far to the North Sea coast—and thus to the dike, tourist facilities, and health resorts—such as the North Sea resort of Dornumersiel or the two North Sea spa towns of Esens-Bensersiel and Neuharlingersiel.
By bike, you have—quite literally—the healthiest route to the North Sea, whether to the coastal resorts or to the dike. Our location is ideal for walks, bike rides, and all kinds of explorations of East Frisia’s unique and diverse natural landscape. Enjoy an active yet relaxing holiday by the North Sea and make the most of the region’s invigorating climate.
Dornumersiel, with its beach and seawater swimming pool, is well worth a visit: Dornumersiel has been a North Sea resort since 1990 and features a very large sandy beach. This canal town is one of the oldest ports on the East Frisian coast.
Dornumersiel invites you to take an idyllic stroll along the Mahlbusen. Dornumersiel also features a solar-heated North Sea outdoor pool and all the amenities you need for your spa stay. In the thatched cottage by the sea, which features a play barn, you’ll find a reading room with a library, a fireplace room, table tennis, craft and workshop spaces, as well as seminar and lecture rooms.
The fishing boat and recreational boat harbour is a defining feature of this resort. Westeraccumersiel, as the harbour district of Dornumersiel is called, has the most significant flatfish catch of all East Frisian ports. The North Sea spa town of Esens-Bensersiel, also nearby, has plenty to offer in terms of sports, recreation, and fun—for example, in Bensersiel, the Nordseetherme Bensersiel with its sauna area, wellness offerings, and many other recreational attractions; the wave pool, tennis courts, and a maritime sports theme park; surfing spots along the dike; fitness facilities; beach volleyball; fishing opportunities; and, of course, the very child-friendly beach—as well as much more.
