The Friesenhaus Amrum Hommelkasche welcomes you to Nebel / Süddorf on Amrum, combining the unique charm of a historic, detached house with plenty of comfort for a relaxing holiday. With a living area of approximately 80 m², the house features a total of 4 rooms that can accommodate up to 6 people, including 3 bedrooms and a harmonious living space. The house is on the ground floor and offers a cosy living atmosphere with a sofa area, living room, and a dining area that’s just as inviting for breakfast together as it is for social evenings. The view of the garden adds to the sense of peace and relaxation, while the terrace and private garden—complete with outdoor furniture and a lawn for sunbathing—invite you to linger and enjoy the fresh North Sea air.<br><br>For self-catering guests, the enclosed kitchen is fully equipped. Here you’ll find a stove (ceramic), oven, refrigerator with freezer compartment, dishwasher, electric kettle, coffee maker, and a wide variety of kitchen utensils. Dishes and cutlery are, of course, provided, as are a toaster and everyday kitchen gadgets. A washing machine and dryer also make holiday planning easier, though use of the dryer and washing machine is governed by shared rules. Additional amenities include central heating, a modern TV system with satellite connection, and Wi-Fi. The technical amenities also include a radio and a digital TV connection, ensuring that entertainment and information are reliably available during your holiday.<br><br>Two bathrooms and an additional guest bathroom provide comfort. In total, there are 2 showers—one of which includes a tub—as well as other practical features such as a toilet, sink, and mirror. The rooms are furnished in a welcoming and practical style, including wardrobes, a chest of drawers, and a coat rack. Blackout curtains, smoke detectors, and a smoke-free policy (non-smoking) ensure a pleasant environment. Historic charm and cosy details round out the overall atmosphere.<br><br>The location is particularly convenient: shopping options are only about 150 m away, and restaurants are approximately 1,000 m away. The sea is about 1,200 m away, and the beach is also easily accessible, located about 900 m away depending on your destination. Public transport is available about 120 m away, allowing you to stay flexible. Private parking is included (1 space), though a car is recommended for exploring the island and surrounding area at your own pace. The subsequent comprehensive renovation—including the interior—was carried out in close collaboration with the historic preservation authority. Old wooden floors and walls were sealed or painted in the original colours of white, light grey, and blue. <br>This allowed the authentic Frisian charm to be preserved while offering modern and contemporary comfort.<br><br>The two half-houses, Hommelkasche (up to 6 people) and Klönschnack (up to 5 people), each have a separate entrance and their own garden area with a charming dining area.<br>Behind the house is a large play area. Our younger guests are welcome to use the sandpit and swing set at the neighbouring Sütjers Hus.<br><br>One parking space is available for each unit.
