“Hafenheimat” is part of a beautiful, historic warehouse building dating back to 1900. The newly renovated loft gives its guests a wonderful beach house vibe. Right on the harbour, right on the water, right in the heart of a small, lively town. In 2020, an extensive full renovation transformed a fine restaurant into a charming, high-end loft.
Spacious living with a constant view of the Schlei: kitchen island, Italian range cooker, freestanding bathtub, box-spring bed (160x200cm), daybed, relaxation corner, and reading nook. A private terrace area with a luxurious XXL beach chair—complete with “harbour cinema.”
No TV here—but with internet access!
An additional holiday highlight: The house’s sauna is available to all guests for a small additional fee.
In the house’s laundry room, you can use the dryer (free of charge), washing machine (3€ per load), and ironing supplies. The Schlei, the Baltic Sea (7 minutes by car), endless beaches, rapeseed fields in spring, and swimming water starting in June. The “Hafenheimat” holiday rental is located in the heart of charming Kappeln; everything you need is just around the corner.
Good restaurants? — Right next door! A great little cinema showing blockbusters, children’s films, and some very special films. And an artists’ bar with plenty of live music—both just a few minutes’ walk away.
Boat rentals, SUP rentals, bike rentals, and much more are also right on your doorstep.

House Rules/Pricing Info:
During peak season and on holidays, there’s a minimum stay of 7 nights. During the off-season, there is a minimum stay of 5 nights.


The mandatory final cleaning service is already automatically included in the total price for the requested stay via our price calculator.


Initial linens (bed linens and towels) are included; requested change of the linen set: €15 per person.


Dogs are welcome and incur an additional charge of €10 per night per dog. A maximum of 1 dog (height at withers 60 cm) is permitted; cats are not allowed.



Shared sauna on the 1st floor: €5 per person per use

Additional services available upon request and bookable directly with the landlord for a separate fee:
- Pet surcharge: €10.00 per night
- Linen change during your stay (per person): €15.00 (one-time fee)
