New (completed in June 2020), modern, very high-end Frisian-style house located right on the canal in Hinte-Loppersum.
The house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. This is a smoke-free home; one dog is allowed (two dogs possible upon request)—the property is fully fenced.
The ground floor features a warm and modern interior. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, oven, microwave, ceramic cooktop, filter coffee/pod machine (Senseo), refrigerator, separate freezer with 2 large compartments, electric kettle, toaster, and much more. The table comfortably seats 6 people, and from here you have a fantastic view of the
garden and the water. The furnished patio and the grill invite you to spend time outdoors.
There’s also bocce and a croquet set. We’ve even provided a shower area for your four-legged friend.
A spacious garden shed is at your disposal, with room to store any bicycles you bring along.
There’s a second small furnished terrace by the dock. The garden is fully fenced, with a lockable gate leading to the water.
In the living area, you’ll find a cosy sofa nook, a smart TV, books, board games, and a stereo system.
A bedroom with a double box-spring bed (full-length mattress 180 x 200 m) at a comfortable height, a flat-screen TV, and a large closet is located on the ground floor, as is a bathroom with a walk-in shower, toilet, and hair dryer. The modern infrared heat cabin offers a Duo-Vital radiant heating system with full-spectrum light and carbon surface heaters, as well as adjustable calf heaters, a music system, and colour light therapy.
A washing machine, dryer, clothes rack, ironing board, and iron, as well as cleaning supplies, are provided.
On the upper floor, there are two additional bedrooms and a modern bathroom with a walk-in shower. One bedroom features a box-spring double bed (full-length mattress) and an adjoining walk-in closet. The second bedroom has two single beds, a closet, and a desk. From here, you’ll enjoy a magnificent view of the canal. Both rooms have an additional flat-screen TV.
All windows can be darkened with electric exterior blinds and are equipped with fly screens. The entire house is equipped with underfloor heating. The house is heated in an environmentally friendly manner using a heat pump.
For our youngest guests, a travel cot with a mattress, a high chair, children’s dishes and cutlery, and a toilet seat are available.
The house features a spacious dock where you can moor your own boat or cast your line into the water (with a fishing licence).
A Canadian canoe for 3–4 people with a transom is now available (subject to change; available from April through October); you can attach your own (electric) motor with a maximum of 5 PS (use at your own risk and responsibility).
A safe is available in the house for your personal valuables (we assume no liability).
In front of the house, there are two parking spaces and a pay-per-use wall box where you can charge your electric car with eco-friendly green electricity (for a fee; please specify when booking); your e-bikes can also be charged in the garden shed.
Two bicycles are now available free of charge, at your own risk and without any guarantee of constant functionality.
Free Wi-Fi (on-site registration required). (We do not guarantee unrestricted availability or sufficient speed.)
The neighbouring house is called “Bei Ruhe,” should you need more space.
Loppersum is an ideal location for exploring all of East Frisia. From here, you can go on bike rides to Emden—home to the State Museum, the Kunsthalle, and the
canal tours—and Suurhusen, with the world’s most leaning church tower, is also nearby. The well-known “Three Seas” bike tour is also highly recommended, and Loppersum serves as the ideal starting point for it. By car, you can reach Greetsiel in about 20 minutes, and the coast is also about a 20-minute drive away.
If you’re travelling by boat, you can reach the Loppersumer Meer (ideal for fishing), the Große Meer (where stand-up paddleboarding and other water sports are offered, and there’s a swimming beach—also ideal for younger children), and the Kleine Meer without having to go through any locks. You can also take a
