Neßmersiel is a thriving coastal resort, located right on the dike and just 1.5 km from the sandy beach. There you’ll find 250 beach chairs, a playground, a snack bar, a restaurant with a sun terrace, and an unobstructed view of the East Frisian islands of Baltrum and Norderney. Neßmersiel offers a separate beach for families with dogs and an agility course for your dog. At the harbour, you can book trips on fishing boats or take the ferry to Baltrum. At low tide, you can take a guided mudflat hike to the islands, with return transport by ferry.
The town itself offers a healthy environment; you’ll be staying in a child-friendly holiday resort. The village centre, with its supermarket and cosy restaurants featuring beer gardens, is just a few minutes away.

The house features a living-dining room with an open kitchen on the ground floor, a 43-inch smart TV with satellite channels, a DVD player, a spacious, bright bathroom, and a storage room. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, ceramic cooktop, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, and range hood. You’ll also find a coffee maker, toaster, electric kettle, and, of course, dishes, pots, and pans.
From the living room, you can access the patio and the garden. Garden furniture for six people is provided. On the upper floor, there are two cosy bedrooms. An open wooden staircase leads from one of the bedrooms to a third bedroom with two additional beds; the second TV is located there. The holiday home is designed to accommodate 5 people.

New in 2026—the AndersWelt indoor play centre in Neßmersiel
A unique 3,200-square-meter indoor play centre is being built in Neßmersiel and is expected to open by Easter 2026. Admission is free for guests with spa cards!
Hall 1 will feature: a large climbing wall with various slides, several media rooms (Wii, SingStar, PlayStation, Xbox, and darts), a trampoline area, and a multifunctional sports court for football and basketball.
Hall 2 will feature: two bowling alleys, a 3D cinema with a daily changing programme, a Spider Tower (where you climb from the bottom to the top), and a two-level maze with built-in laser barriers. There is a separate area for toddlers with many attractions.

Neßmersiel Paddle & Pedal Station
The “Paddle & Pedal” nature experience brings together the most beautiful boat and bike tours in East Frisia. From single-person canoes to ten-person Canadian canoes and sturdy bikes for adults and children, there are plenty of opportunities for combined tours. Take a canoe from the Neßmersiel station northward to Haage or even Greetsiel, and return by bike—or by boat again.

Neßmersiel—Dogs are welcome in the municipality of Dornum. There are a total of 18 dog waste stations where owners can dispose of their four-legged friends’ waste. There’s a new special attraction: Neßmersiel now has a playground where dogs and their owners can romp or train together. The 40-by-40-meter area is located on the dog beach. Dog owners can try out the dog sport of agility at the new dog playground. The fenced-in Fun Agility Park features a large open field where dogs are allowed to run off-leash. It also includes 21 hurdles, two slalom courses, a seesaw, tunnels, hoops, walls, and walkways.
