This cabin was even better in person than the photos showed, and the photos already looked great! We loved the screened-in porch for relaxing evenings without the bugs, and the private outdoor shower was such a fun, unexpected touch. Parking was plentiful, which made unloading and coming and going a breeze. The cabin was spotless, you could tell it’s well cared for and it has that perfect rustic lake-house feel you hope for but don’t always get. Close enough to the lake to enjoy easily, with a cozy, authentic feel throughout. On top of all that, the host was fantastic, responsive, welcoming, and easy to work with from start to finish. We’d book again in a heartbeat and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a true lake getaway.
The cabin is a little smaller than the picture depicts it to be, but for the 4 of us, it was big enough. The only complaint I have is the small refrigerator. Since there are not grocery stores nearby (there are some essentials but not what you get at your better stores), we ended up having to buy ice every day and keep many of the items in the coolers. There’s plenty of room for a larger fridge, not sure why they went with smaller apt. size. The outside shower was a nice treat, just be sure to get your shower before dusk when the mosquitoes come out.The grill, while usable, is not easy to clean and is very rusty. Be sure to have aluminum foil to cover the grill.Loved the outdoor seating areas, the lights outside were a nice touch.Walking to the water isn’t really an option as the land between the house and the water is privately owned. You have to go to a field and walk down. I think it was a great place to stay and very reasonably priced and would stay again in the future. When driving up to the cabin, you think you’re driving in someone else’s drive, but just keep going. It dead ends at the cabin.

Thank you for staying with us and for taking the time to leave such detailed feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed the outdoor areas and your stay overall.
We did want to clarify a few things for future guests. The refrigerator was already in the cabin when we purchased the property, and since this is the first concern we’ve received regarding its size, replacing it hasn’t been a big priority. However, we do plan to upgrade to a larger refrigerator in the future.
We’re also aware that the grill grate needs replacing, and we actually already have a brand-new one that will be installed this month.
The lake is just a short walk or drive from the cabin. While the property directly below the cabin is privately owned, the large field used to access the lake is Corps of Engineers property.
We did have to smile at the cabin feeling smaller than the photos—we’ve always thought it actually feels bigger in person! 😊
We appreciate the feedback and are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay, found the cabin reasonably priced, and would stay with us again. We hope to welcome you back!
We really liked this property a lot! It was right by plenty of recreation places on the lake. It was also decently close to Crater of Diamonds. The A/C works really well, thankfully. It has plenty of places inside and outside to view the surrounding nature and listen to the rain. Also, one of the bedrooms was large enough to fit our pack n play for our baby! Our stay was great!
