Family Fun Location

We love Frankfort and everything that it has to offer. This house was a great addition to our stay. The backyard was perfect for a wide range of ages. The children used the fenced in backyard, swing set and ropes course for outdoor fun while the adults utilized the patios, and fireplace. The indoors provided enough space for three families to have their own space when needed. We hope to have the opportunity to stay here again.

Fantastic home for family with teens.

Very nice and spacious. Lots of living space and 3 bathrooms. Washer and dryer was good for teens. Loved the fire pit. Walking distance to the beach and Lake Michigan and restaurants. Near the Sleeping Bear Dunes and other fun places to go. We highly recommend.

Frankfort is a lovely town

The property was perfect for our stay. The house was just what we needed. I do think the management company could have mowed, one of the bedrooms was accidentally locked by cleaners, so it took us awhile to find the hidden room, and the check in was a little off, as the lockbox was not working properly. But none of this will deter me from renting this lovely house if we find ourselves back in Frankfort.

Aptly named, the Gathering Place!

Eight friends stayed here as part of Ironman Frankfort. The house was super spacious. We had a cookout the first night in the back yard and it was a great vibe. Quiet neighborhood. No street noise. Large garage so we could bring all of our bikes and gear inside to stage. Kitchen nicely stocked with spices, coffee station and soaps. Just one mile from town, so you can easily walk downtown or ride a bike. We LOVED this place! There is a playset in the back - incase you have kids, which we didn't and a fire pit- which we didn't get to. Also a ping pong table in the garage, so nicely appointed.

6/10 Okay

Inside OK, looks unloved from the street

The house layout and facilities were as described, number of beds and bedrooms as specified. I thought the linens provided were rough and low cost. The outside of the house look abandoned, waist high weeds and uncut lawn. The house seems to have been spruced up after someone else owned it, maybe? Unmentioned amenities like a fire pit and a long untended goldfish pond and stacks of firewood were an indication. Makes a bad impression and must irritate the neighbors with lack of visible care. I have pictures to illustrate but your system would not allow me to paste them here

The front door was broken and we could not get it. They needed to send someone to fix it but had no time estimation. It was about an hour of back-and-forth texts and phone calls before the garage code was given, which allowed us access. When the repairman did come to fix the front door, it was the next day. He was very nice but told us he's been telling them this need to be repaired for a while, that it's only getting worse, and that he doesn't have the capability to fix it. So that was very frustrating to hear! The overall cleanliness was good, except for sand on the rugs, but it is by a beach so to be expected, and the dishes weren't particularly clean. That's because the dishwasher just doesn't do a good job. The house overall was quite comfortable, well equipped and a great location for our group of six that raced the Ironman 70.3 while visiting. Very relaxing outdoor area with deer wandering through, and the beds were comfortable. Overall, it just needs a little bit of love, but it's kind of what one would expect in a vacation rental. I would absolutely stay there again but do hope the front door issue is addressed before the next round of guests

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback with us. We are truly sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with the front door and the delay in repairs. We understand how frustrating it must have been to wait for access and to hear that the issue has been ongoing. Please know that we have shared your comments with our local team to prioritize addressing this repair so future guests won’t face the same inconvenience. We are glad to hear that overall you found the home comfortable, well-equipped, and enjoyed the relaxing outdoor area and location. Regarding the sand on the rugs and the dishwasher not performing as expected, we we've appreciate your understanding given the beachside location, and we have passed along your notes to housekeeping and maintenance to look into these concerns. Thank you again for your thoughtful review and for choosing to stay with us. We look forward to hosting you again and providing an even better experience next time.
