The Bear Retreat was absolutely perfect! The house was extremely clean, organized, and well updated. The beds were a terrific night sleep. The house was very quiet and the host was easy accessible. I especially liked the off the street parking and would highly recommend it. I plan to stay there again on my next trip back to Waterbury..

A really nice place, the space felt like a revitalized turn of the century home and the owner had period type furniture to complete the feel - this is a lower level unit with another occupant upstairs but was still private, cozy and comfortable - laundry was easy and there was a convenience store, a liquor store and a restaurant nearby, although I don’t recommend that restaurant…Simone was quick to respond and she was pleasant. I’d stay here again without hesitation

The accommodations were very clean and very quite. Communication was very prompt. Only suggestion I would have is for standard teaspoons be added in the kitchen, kleenex box(es) be added as well as enough Kuerig pods for entire stay and a wastebasket added to the bathroom.

Definitely a great place to stay! We all were comfortable and enjoyed our time. We will definitely stay there again for future trips. Everything was very clean. Lots of towels. Extra blankets and pillows. And there were plenty of things to be able to cook to avoid eating out. Super pleased!

The driveway was a little tight but the backyard would be a very cool place for kids to play! The microwave stopped working the first day - and it was quickly replaced the very next day day - much appreciated!
