I was so delighted with this property and I'm SO GLAD I booked it! In a section of Seattle that I never knew existed (West Seattle) just a short walk to shops and restaurants and everything going on! There was a parade! And a Farmers Market! And so many places were dog friendly. The very first thing that hit me when we walked in the door was that it SMELLED SO GOOD. That's an awesome in my book. The rooms were well appointed and we had plenty of space. We brought our two small dogs and it was such a great neighborhood to walk them. We didn't spend a lot of time cooking, but the place seemed pretty well appointed and the Nespresso maker puts a really great crema on your coffee - I never knew! The house is a ten minute drive to Alki Beach which reminded me of La Jolla sort of. Great restaurants there too - and the view of Seattle at dusk is incomparable. It's too far to walk, but a short drive and parking was relatively easy to find. Plenty of people were swimming and playing in the water. I just didn't even think I would get an opportunity to play in the ocean in Seattle so I didn't come prepared - but next time!!The bonus for my husband was the turntable and records to play. One of the reasons we were visiting was to record shop so he was able to play his purchases the night he got them instead of waiting until we got all the way home. I 12/10 recommend this place. We loved it and are scheming on how to get back soon!

I build, and design, custom homes, remodels, and just about everything else you can think of. In my off time, I enjoy creating music, art, custom furniture, and tinkering. I own a construction company, and a record label, in a space that I share with my wife's bakery.

Why they chose this property

It's a cute, quiet, neighborhood that is unique in Seattle. Enjoy a plethora of fantastic restaurants and shops all within walking distance. It's a very artsy part of town that has one of the country's best record stores with weekly live music.

What makes this property unique

Our quirky home is full of vintage, or one-off made furniture and art by local artisans and the family themselves. Much of the building's materials salvaged from renovations done by our family run construction company, or curated through Seattle's wonderful eco-friendly reclaimed materials facilities. The back portion of the property contains an active vintage bakery, also run by the family.
