The home itself matched the photos and was comfortable, but the overall experience was disappointing due to poor communication and several preventable issues. We never received check-in instructions before arrival and had to contact the host ourselves. Even then, we waited about 40 minutes after check-in time before receiving access information. During the phone call, I felt rushed, was told they were busy, and received no apology. The check-in email was addressed to someone named “Ainsley,” not me. That immediately raised concerns about whether we had received another guest’s information/code or if someone else had access to the property. I contacted the host to express both my disappointment and my concern for our safety, but despite reaching out immediately, I never received a response during our stay. When we entered the home, there was an open, half-consumed can of alcohol left in the freezer, trash in the kitchen trash can, and windows unlocked. We had to secure the home ourselves before feeling comfortable, suggesting the property wasn’t fully prepared between guests. We never received house rules, parking, or checkout instructions. The listing only briefly mentions another rental on the property, which should be disclosed more prominently. The bathroom needs towel hooks and a grab bar, and the front door handle is loose and should be repaired. I would not stay here again because of the lack of preparation, communication, and response to legitimate concerns
