This is an idyllic forest oasis tucked within the Cazadero hills of western Sonoma County. It epitomizes coziness with a wood-burning stove and hot tub surrounded by redwood trees. And if you need more action/activities, it's within easy access to the Russian River, Sonoma coast beaches, and small towns of Monte Rio, Guerneville, etc. We hope to return as soon as we can!

If a house could feel like a hug this cabin in the woods would be it! adorable super charming just as described beautiful inside and out clean with a lovely hot tub to enjoy the woods around. I really loved all the details from the beautiful nook of a little kitchen with excellent appliances, warm inviting layout throughout the house and a beautiful A-frame bedroom tucked upstairs made for the perfect stay!

Thank you so much for this incredibly sweet review! We’re thrilled to hear that the cabin felt like a warm hug and that you enjoyed all the little details, from the cozy kitchen and inviting layout to the charming A-frame bedroom and relaxing hot tub surrounded by the woods. We put a lot of love into creating a special place for our guests, and it means so much to know you appreciated it. We’d absolutely love to welcome you back for another cozy getaway in the woods!
Property is rustic very cute as described. Just a few helpful reminders the driveway is fairly steep. I have a truck, but someone with a small car might find it difficult. Communication was excellent. The hot tub in the redwoods was wonderful and peaceful. Definitely would rent again 10 out of 10.

Thank you, Michael, for your kind words! We're thrilled you enjoyed the rustic charm and the hot tub experience. Your feedback is invaluable, and we look forward to welcoming you back for another wonderful stay!
The hot tub and deck are beautiful. You can figure out how to adjust the settings with a little patience. The cabin was clean and had some lovely artistic touches that seemed to be from someone's travels. I liked that there weren't a bunch of signs everywhere. I'm happy to figure out where a light switch is, or whatnot. Nothing was perfect, which kind of made it feel perfect, real, like a cozy cabin in the redwoods.

A perfect little cottage in the woods. Rustic but comfortable, and had everything I needed for a home base while exploring the forest. Waking up in the loft bed to the sunlight coming through the trees was beautiful. Relaxing in the jacuzzi was wonderful too. I was sad to leave and would absolutely stay here again.
Incredible little spot, perfectly located between the ocean and Guernville. Such a cozy spot for a romantic getaway. The only downsides is that it was very cold in the cottage and the bathroom was not at all sound proof. Maybe some additional blankets or instructions on how to heat the cottage would be helpful!

Paradise.
This place was just what my partner and I needed to unwind for a few days. We loved it, everything about it.
Enjoy!
This was exactly what my husband and I needed for a little getaway! The property was quaint, cozy, and so peaceful. It was clean and had all the amenities we could ask for! The hot tub under the massive redwood trees was the cherry on top - can’t wait to stay here again!
Great place for a secluded getaway, but kitchen is lacking and guest services needed improvement.

This was my first experience staying at a person's place with Vrbo. I live in the Central Valley and wanted to get away to spend some quiet hours in the redwoods. Another person opened their house to me, a prospect for which I am eternally grateful. I would not say my stay was perfect and I offer my thoughts in the most constructive and thoughtful way possible. The redwoods were pleasant and you can hear scrub jays. I drive a 4-door sedan with 4 cylinders and 2-wheel drive. A 4-wheel drive car or truck would be best as my car got stuck in the driveway and almost didn't get out. The bed creaked and was squeaky and I couldn't see very well due to the very old lights in the house. There was old plumbing. Was the price I paid reasonable? Meh. I suppose that's open to debate. I don't have a lot of experience so maybe it was. It was between the 300-400 range per night. The house was an A-frame built in the 1950s or 60s. The main draw of this house, as far as I can tell, was its rustic charm. I can definitely see how others would find this attractive and based on the journal entries I can tell that many couples have stayed here in the past and enjoyed their sojourns thoroughly. As for me? Well it was okay. Maybe above okay. But not spectacular. The t.v. didn't work. Everything seems to get 5 stars nowadays and that can feel dishonest as a consumer. I write this not to be mean but to be honest. And again, I am thankful the hosts let me stay here.

Stephen, thank you for taking the time to write such a thoughtful and honest review. You're right that we note the steep driveway and the recommendation for 4x4 or AWD vehicles in our listing, and we're sorry that detail didn't register clearly enough before your arrival. The TV issue is on us as well. It sometimes gets left on the wrong input for the DVD player, and we should have caught that during our turnover. Your candor about the bed, the lighting, and the overall value is genuinely useful to us. We're grateful you made the trip to the redwoods and shared your experience this openly.

Lovely Stay
The cottage is super charming! We had a lovely time getting away to the woods for the weekend. The hot tub was great and worked perfectly. The bed was comfortable. The cottage itself is rustic with beautiful views of the surrounding trees. The location is not too far from Guerneville or the coast, and there is a nice hiking trail about 15 minutes south.

Great location, perfect for a cozy winter weekend in a little NorCal mountain town. The house was definitely what you pay for. It was very visually cute on the surface, however when you looked closer it was a little worn. I could get over that, but the smell was difficult to get over. Information about the house was provided, but when I reached out to the hosts about the weird smell, I didn’t receive a response back until day of check out. The hot tub is a great add on, but area is very dark at night and there are no lights so was a bit spooky. We had a good weekend around the different little towns and would love to visit the area again.

Weekend Getaway
The Dream Catcher is a sweet little cottage for a short retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. You’re very secluded and surrounded by beautiful trees.
Minor updates would make this place even better: couch and more indoor lighting.
Overall, we’re very happy we found the Dream Catcher!

Perfect getaway
This was a fantastic place to get away from city life and spend some quiet time closer to nature among the redwoods. The cabin was clean and warm with charming touches. We were able make breakfast and even bake a cake in the well stocked kitchen. The deck area was a peaceful place to read a book. Ending the day in the hot tub was perfect. I would definitely come back! Highly recommend!

Rustic Worn Quaint Quiet
Sitting on the deck among the tall trees with a hot tub was just what we needed. Cabin is cute and well loved, shows a little age. Bed is a rock, couch is comfy. If quaint and quiet are what you are looking for go for it.

Hi Marvin, Thank you for your feedback. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and found our location convenient. We apologize if our bed did not meet your standards and caused inconvenience to you. We will take this into consideration as we continue to make improvements to our home. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again soon. Thank you for staying with us!
The property was clean, wifi reliable, and well supplied. I would note that the driveway past the gate is note an easy drive for low cars which do not have AWD/4WD but there is room in front of the gate for 1-2 vehicles.

Extremely charming cottage if you can live with a loft bedroom
This place is charmingly decorated in a quirky way. The kitchen is fully equipped (without dishwasher) and the hot tub, beautifully situated, was nice and hot. The sole bed is in an A-frame loft that is narrow so that you can't stand up straight next to the bed which made getting up to use the downstairs toilet challenging on the first night. I got used to it and would definitely stay there again.

Dreamy cabin
Ambiance, silence, furnishings- all top notch. You might want to warn future guests about pot-hole filled road leading to property, and difficult ingress down the drive, and shaky incline on egress. These minor surprises did not take away from our delightful stay, but these two 70 year-olds found it a wee bit challenging to get in and out of this charming forest cabin.
