The house was very clean, updated and had great air-conditioning in the hot weather. It also allows you to bring your dogs, and cables to tie them in the back. It’s close to downtown. I recommend.

About the host

Hosted by Misty Doan

Host profile image
Hi, we're Misty and Jake, and Hamilton, Missouri is our home! We've been welcoming guests into our short-term rentals for over six years now, and honestly, hosting never gets old. There's something special about knowing our little corner of northwest Missouri played a part in someone's trip.

When we're not making sure our guests have everything they need, you'll find us traveling (we believe the best hosts have been good guests themselves), working on our latest home build or restoration project, or out in the garden. We love creating spaces that feel lived-in and cared for, and that passion carries directly into every property we maintain.

We're locals through and through, so if you need a restaurant recommendation, want to know the best time to visit Missouri Star, or just have a question about the area, we're genuinely happy to help. We know Hamilton like the back of our hand and love sharing it with visitors.

Our goal is simple, we want you to feel at home from the moment you arrive. We're just a text away if you need anything.

Why they chose this property

This home sits in one of Hamilton's quietest, most peaceful neighborhoods. The kind where you can actually hear the birds in the morning. You're just a few blocks from downtown, making it an easy stroll into town or a quick drive over to Missouri Star Quilt Company for a day of shopping. Close enough to everything, calm enough to truly unwind.

What makes this property unique

This home has been completely remodeled from top to bottom. But don't let that fool you, it still has all the warmth and coziness you'd hope for in a Hamilton getaway. What makes it special is the balance: It's comfortable and cozy in the private spaces, but open and spacious enough in the common areas to gather around a meal together or spread out your fabric and sew with friends. Whether you're here for Missouri Star, in town for a wedding, or just enjoying a peaceful escape, this house is set up to feel like your home away from home.
