Relaxing stay. Fishing was amazing caught all sorts of fish. Kayaking and canoeing was a family favorite even took a trip to Three Rivers Points on kayaks and canoe. There was a welcome basket full of treats - that made the place quaint and felt at home. House was spacious and clean

We loved our time at this charming home! It was perfect for a family vacation with kids. Well stocked with games, books, puzzles and outdoor gear. We kayaked and canoed on the peaceful river and caught MANY fish! Kept the kids busy! The home was clean and the owners were great. We hope to be back next year!

WOW, what a great house, the location was perfect right on the Oneida River tucked away and private but only 10 minutes to countless stores and restaurants. Tom and Kristin are fabulous owners who replied back very quickly to our questions. The house was very nice and extremely clean. The fishing from the back yard was excellent, there was even a nice welcome basket for us once we arrived. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in the Clay area. Thank youTom

Island River Pines is perfect. It feels like home as soon as you step through the front door. Some places market as family-friendly, but IRP truly is. They have the best family games, an air hockey table in the kids' room, drawing and activity books for the kids, and surprised us with a wonderful welcome basket for the littles. The fishing was also amazing. You can't beat that it's at the end of a dead-end road. The location is secluded and yet close enough to everything that you'd want to go to. We'll be visiting again. Thank you, Tom and Kristin. Your place is amazing.

My family and I stayed at this property in August 2026. There were a total of seven of us and the home was spacious enough to accommodate everyone. The kids had a wonderful time fishing and boating on the river and we also went to Destiny Mall and the zoo in Syracuse. The weather was great and everyone enjoyed themselves. The only two minor issue were that the upstairs bedroom and bathroom doors did not lock and there were no curtains for the large window in the master bedroom. Kids don't always knock when entering a room, so doors that lock would have been nice to maintain our privacy. The view of the lake from the master bedroom was beautiful, but it would have been nice if there were some curtains for privacy and to keep the sunlight out if you wanted to sleep in. Those small things aside, the home was clean and had everything we needed during our stay. The owners even left a lovely gift basket with wine, candy and crackers. The kitchen had all the necessary appliances except for a dishwasher. On the back deck, there was a fire pit, grill, and four fishing rods. On the back lawn, there were chairs, picnic tables, kayaks and canoes along with oars and life jackets. There was also plenty of soap, cleaning supplies and laundry detergent.Overall, I would definitely recommend this property for anyone looking to have some quality time with their family. If I return to the area, I will certainly consider booking this property again.

We’re happy to share this great location with you, we’re hoping it brings the same fun and joyful memories to you that it has to us.

Why they chose this property

We’ve always had an affection for waterfront living. The calm peacefulness is hard to beat.
It also brings back fond childhood memories of fishing, boating & bonfires.

What makes this property unique

The original home on this property was beyond repair when we purchased it in 2011, so we began our 10 year family project. Using our ideas, talents and own hands, we built this house from the ground up. We were able to add a little of our personality in as well!
