Everything was good, we had 1 hiccup that we communicated to the host about. I thought the shower was nice and the amenities in there. Overall very reasonable and nice stay!
Michael’s place in Great Barrington MA was incredible. It was clean, very well appointed, affordable and so quiet. It is also very close to numerous restaurant options and grocery stores. I thought the place was very cozy and so comfortable. This was a stopping off point for me so I unfortunately was not able to stay longer. Next time I am Great Barrington I will definitely look up Michael’s place. Thank you Michael.

Thank you so much for staying. We’d love to host again
Location was perfect for exploring Great Barrington as well as it’s proximity to Stockbridge. Although the room was compact, it was more than adequate for my needs. The room itself is extremely clean and the laying out of towels with small soaps and chocolates and it seemed like a five star hotel - excellent touch. The room had a full kitchen, full-size refrigerator. The drip coffee maker along with the Keurig will be appreciated by coffee lovers. I especially liked the fact that there were dark roast coffee K cups on hand. Walk to downtown Great Barrington was only a few minutes and there are plenty of shops and places to grab a coffee or tea as well as several bars and restaurants. The people are friendly and a young couple I met suggested I visit the Barrington brewery, just a few miles north on Route 7. The brewery has a full kitchen. a good menu, and good quality food, whether it be small plates, entrées, or sandwiches. They make their own desserts. When my future plans bring me to the area again, I will definitely stay at this location. The owner was more than accommodating and is quite considerate. Five stars from me.
Upon entering this property we were hit with a wall of odor consisting of mold, old cigarette and urine? We entered the apartment and we were hopeful because the smell was not as intense and hoped that we could manage by sleeping with the windows open. After about ten minutes it became impossible to tolerate even with the windows open. I contacted the host and initially there was no reply. I immediately contacted VRBO for help because it was getting late and we needed a place to stay. The host contacted us and was flippant and dismissive. I pleaded with him to understand that a mold bloom is a hazard and he insisted that his place is regularly inspected by professionals. Clearly some leak or damage has occurred between professional inspections. The whole situation is frustrating and sad.

After careful consideration this was determined to be a scam and no refund issue for their stay. We will not be renting to this guest again. As expected the property had no issues the day of arrival when it was inspected by the housecleaner and the day prior by the owner and the day after the guests stay.
Though small, the apartment was efficient, clean, and well stocked in paper type supplies. The kitchen was also efficient though lacking in some basic utensils. They say location, location, location. And, yes, the location is excellent. An easy, short, and nice walk into town . 8
