Mackenzie, the owner of this VRBO and other cabins on site, is a caring, friendly manager. She goes out of her way to welcome you, help get whatever you need, and has built the most ADORABLE cabins. We loved our stay! Take advantage of the communal fire-pit and outdoor kitchen she has on property, just a few steps from the cabin!! We got to know other guests and had an awesome night around the fire with Mackenzie and other guests multiple times! Feed the cows apples - they love kiddos! And Mackenzie has three friendly, super cute dogs who are part of the welcome wagon and offer lap-sitting-pet-therapy by the firepit at the end of a long day hiking! The cabin we stayed in allowed us to cook with a full kitchen microwave, has heat, and had 2 bedrooms a fun loft! There’s a tv, but we didn’t use it. Downtown Custer is a 5 minute drive, Mt. Rushmore is 25 minutes, and Needles Highway is about 25 minutes. Enjoy some lovely family time at this beautiful property- you won’t regret it!
We had a wonderful stay at this VRBO property in South Dakota. The home was very clean, comfortable, and located in a quiet area, making it a great place to relax after a day of exploring. It was conveniently close to the park, which made hiking, sightseeing, and wildlife watching easy. One of the highlights of our trip was that our grandkids absolutely loved feeding the cows. It was such a fun and memorable experience for them and added a special touch to our stay.Mackenzie was an excellent host—friendly, responsive, and easy to reach whenever we had a question. The only minor downside was that the internet service was a bit spotty at times. However, it ended up being a nice opportunity to unplug, and we actually enjoyed spending less time on devices and not having TV as a distraction. We truly appreciated the hospitality and would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area. We would definitely stay here again!
