Centrally located in the heart of Vermont's beautiful Northeast Kingdom, the Willoughby Edgeview Cottage is the ideal place for hiking/kayaking and biking adventures, fishing and more!

The Willoughby Edgeview Cottage is the very last cottage at the dead end of a private quiet dirt road with spacious grounds and an amazing view. The cottage was built at the dead end of a dirt road as a guesthouse in 1920 as part of a resort. Named The Willoughby Edgeview Cottage because of its end lot and privacy, this is a classic Vermont cottage completely renovated in 2016. It has been outfitted with modern conveniences without losing the country charm that relaxes you the moment you step in the door.

The Willoughby Edgeview Cottage has one bedroom with a queen size bed and a small bunk room with built in beds for 2 kids with french doors leading to a large deck. Panoramic views overlooking the lake and mountains are available from the front deck. There is one bath with a walk in shower. The cottage can sleep 2 adults and 2 children comfortably.

Sitting on top of a knoll which overlooks the lake to the famous Willoughby Gap and green mountains. An outdoor fireplace is great for summer entertainment and cooler spring and fall nights.

The Willoughby Edgeview Cottage has cozy chairs on the porch with morning views perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee. Eat meals around the table on the deck before you head down to Edgeview's private sandy beach for swimming, fishing or boating. The table has and umbrella and the deck a large gas grill. There's also ample seating around the firepit - the perfect place for a sunset bonfire.

There are two large free public beaches in addition to our small private one. You will find several country stores where you can stock up on fishing supplies, beach gear or just stop for a pizza, soft serve ice cream or deli sandwiches. You do not have to drive into town!

Winterizing has allowed us to extend our season for spring ice fishing, skiing and other late fall and early spring accommodations. If you do not see the dates you would like, just shoot us an email.

This place is at the top of my favorites list. Lake Willoughby is magical and this brings that magic right to your doorstep! The view from the cottage overlooking the lake and mountains is top notch. The house itself is everything you’d want in a lake house and then some- great set up and plenty of space for me and my 2 friends plus our 2 dogs (1 small service and 1 medium labradoodle). Even the twin bunk beds were comfortable for my friends to share and we’re all around 5’8” for reference. The ceiling fans were perfect for keeping the place cool during the day though I’d assume it would get toasty with really hot days with the front of the house getting the afternoon sun. The neighbors are all lovely and helpful. Brandon was very responsive and personable. I’m so happy he has decided to share this beautiful place for others to create memories. We stayed for only 2 nights but this is easily comfortable for a week long stay for a small young family or a few friends. The private beach was ideal and only shared with a few other houses in the private community. You walk straight down the front lawn, cross the street and it’s right there! Heaven. Was sad to leave but will be back!

Lovely cottage situated above the road running along the east shore of the lake with drop dead gorgeous view and a lovely deck from which to enjoy it. Quaint, charming, and cozy it was the perfect place to spend time with family and a dog. It's also very private and quiet- backing up to woods and at the end of a dirt road cul de sac. We will absolutely stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay! This was, without a doubt, one of our favorite places we’ve ever vacationed, and we can’t wait to come back.The home was spotless, beautifully renovated, and had everything we could possibly need. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked with quality cookware, and we loved cooking outside on the grill. Evenings around the fire pit overlooking the lake were unforgettable.The private, fenced yard was perfect for our dogs, which made the trip so much more relaxing. The outdoor deck and furniture were wonderful for enjoying coffee in the morning and taking in the stunning views of Lake Willoughby.Every detail made the home feel comfortable and welcoming, and it was clear the hosts put a lot of thought into creating a great experience. They were incredibly responsive, attentive, and genuinely cared that we had a wonderful stay.We made so many special memories here and are already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, beautiful getaway!

Hillary and I (Brendan) are both Vermonters that are so excited about having the Edgeview cottage to share. We both love being outside and you just can't be the natural activities and splendor surrounding the Westmore area and Lake Willoughby.

Why they chose this property

Brendan grew up a few minutes from the Edgeview property. We love the amazing view and just couldn't pass up the quaint little cottage and the opportunity to have a place in the northeast kingdom again. The property is part of a series of cottages that were once part of a historical 'tourist court'. A few of the originals are no longer there but Edgeview was maintained and recently refinished.

What makes this property unique

The edgeview cottage was recently renovated and is in such an amazing spot. Lake and mountain views off the deck or from the large fire pit, proximity to Jay Peak and Burke, and an amazing area for hiking, biking, and paddling. There are 5 acres of protected land in front of the cottage that enhance the privacy of the spot and ensure the view will remain unspoiled!
