The property is just as pictured/described. It had all the amenities we need for our stay in Canon City. The host is very kind, responsive and provides great recommendations for everything in the area. We enjoyed our stay.

Victoria was a phenomenal host. We ran into some snags with our vehicle on the way there and she was very helpful and accommodating. The house was perfect for our group, and the kitchen was well-equipped for a home-cooked meal. We also checked out Pizza Madness and Christy’s on Main (per Victoria) and were not disappointed! —Despite being in town, we saw quite a few deer and their babies, which was such a treat!

I’ve never left a bad review before but this was a disappointing experience. The host sent me check-in information the day before my stay which was great. What was strange was I received a checkout information note the next afternoon before we ever got to the rental. We got to the place later than expected (close to 10:30pm) and the access code wouldn’t work. I repeatedly tried to contact the host (as well as VRBO customer service) but she didn’t respond to me or customer service for over 2 hours. By then it was midnight and I was paying for a hotel. She did give me a refund but overall it was a really frustrating/bad situation.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re sorry that your arrival did not go as expected. To clarify, this was a one-night reservation, which is why our automated checkout information was sent on the scheduled day of arrival for the following morning. We understand how receiving that message before arriving may have seemed unusual. Unfortunately, when you arrived at approximately 10:30 p.m., there was an unexpected issue with the access code. We were not aware that you would be arriving that late in the evening and regrettably did not see the after-hours messages in time to assist you before you made alternate accommodations. Once we became aware of what had happened, we issued a refund for the stay. We take guest access very seriously and have addressed the issue to help prevent a similar situation in the future. We’re disappointed that we didn’t have the opportunity to host you and sincerely regret the frustration this caused.
