The pictures do not lie. This is a charming and intimate chalet in a stunning location .

If you want to stay in a large soulless hotel then look elsewhere . There are numerous hotels in this region and I'm sure many are good, but what you get with chalet rondo is the keys to a private family home: echoes of children now presumably grown up; access to the owners' reading matter and musical tastes . The chalet itself is small but has everything you could need, cleverly designed to maximise the space . Perched on the side of the mountain the panoramic view from the balcony is of endless mountains including a glacier on the left and the Matterhorn in the distance on the right . The villages of Riederalp, Bettmeralp and Fiescheralp occupy a car-free plateau (we parked for a week at the cable car station in the valley floor for 60 euros ). Access is via cable car which can be expensive ( a 5 day family pass covering all lifts cost us 230 euros ). However it is worth getting an all-access pass as it allows you to get to different parts of the mountain for walks and attractions . The villages have metalled roads so pull along suitcases are fine, and for excursions the lift pass means that once you are at a certain altitude you can walk on relatively level ground (similar to a walk in Wales or Scotland but not mountain climbing ). So a moderate degree of fitness is required to get around, and while the route to the chalet from the cable car is on a level road the final approach is via a steep grass path so pack light !

Perfekte Basis für erholsame Zeit in den Bergen

Ein gemütliches kleines Chalet zwischen der Riederalp und der Bettmeralp im grünen gelegen. Sehr ruhig. In der Wohnung ist alles, was nach so braucht. Einkaufen geht auch einfach, es sind aber ein paar Minuten Marsch bis zu den Supermärkten. Aletschgletscher, Rieder- sowie Bettmerhorn sind gut zu erreichen wi. Vielen Dank!

Gemütliches und sehr schönes Chalet in bester Lage

Das Chalet war wie beschrieben. Sehr praktisch und mit viel Liebe eingerichtet. Man kann von dort viele Wanderungen unternehmen.

Rondo

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt, lediglich der Zugang von der Aletschpromenade durch eine Baustelle war teilweise halsbrecherisch (gerade mit Gepäck) und manchmal dazu noch schlammig. Unterkunft mit Sonnenbalkon war super.

Fijn uitgangspunt voor mooie tochten

Heerlijke week gehad op Riederalp. Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig, fijne badkamer, comfortabel bed en complete keuken. Vanaf hier mooie bergtochten gemaakt. Er is boven ook een elektrische busdienst die overdag elk half uur gaat tussen riederalp en betmer alp, ook handig voor je bagage vervoer bij aankomst of vertrek. De auto geen moment gemist.

Schönes Chalet auf der Riederalp

Das Rondo 1 hat 5 Betten und ist mit 2 Schlafzimmern optimal für eine 5-köpfige Familie. Der Platz ist optimal ausgenutzt und die Küche wirklich gut ausgestattet. Auch ein Käsefondue- und ein Raclette-Gerät sind vorhanden. Eine große Spielesammlung, viele Bücher für alt und jung, ein Fernseher und sogar 2 flache Schlitten vervollständigen den guten Gesamteindruck. Eine Waschmaschine gibt es nicht, dafür liegen aber Bettwäsche, Hand-und Spültücher bereit. Der Balkon ist wunderschön. Insgesamt ein sehr schönes Ferienerlebnis auf der Riederalp. Anzumerken ist nur, dass die Heizung wohl erneuert wurde und dass dementsprechend die Abreiseempfehlung Eco-Einstellung etc. auf FeWo-direkt nicht mehr durchführbar sind. Auch den Schlüsselkasten haben wir nicht benutzt, da die Nummer zum Öffnen nirgends hinterlegt war. Also vielleicht die Check-out-Infos überarbeiten. Ansonsten alles wirklich super!

Das Chalet Rondo ist sehr sauber und gepflegt, es hat an nichts gefehlt. Sehr warme und gemütliche Unterkunft. Der Vermieter ist jederzeit zu erreichen und sehr hilfsbereit. Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit.

Comfortabel appartement met schitterend uitzicht

Het appartement ligt op een hele rustige plek buiten Riederalp. Het is h”comfortabel en heel gezellig. Grootste pluspunt is het ruime balkon met alle kanten op prachtig uitzicht op de hoge bergen. Een heerlijke plek om na een wandeling tot rust te komen. Het is 10 minuten lopen naar de winkels, restaurants en liften in Riederalp. Naar Bettmeralp is het een klein half uurtje lopen. We hebben schitterende wandelingen gemaakt en een heerlijk ontspannen week gehad.

Sehr schöne Wohnung mit traumhaftem Panoramablick

Wir haben unseren Sommer-Aufenthalt in Riederalp in der gemütlichen Ferienwohnung sehr genossen. Am besten ist die wunderschöne, ruhige Lage mit traumhaften Ausblick auf die Bergkulisse. Die Unterkunft befindet sich im gepflegten Zustand und hat alles, was man zum Wohlfühlen braucht. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit und bei Fragen stets erreichbar. Wir können die Wohnung auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!

Gut eingerichtete Ferienwohnung

Ankunft mit Wegbeschrieb war problemlos. Ältere Ferienwohnung mit Allem, was man braucht. Bei uns hat die Heizung problemlos funktioniert (danke für die Nachfrage seitens der Vermieterfamilie). Wir fühlten uns wohl! Für Skifahrer: das Quartier Golmenegg ist nicht so gut erschlossen, mit kurzem Skating oder Laufen, ist der Sessellift gut erreichbar. Vielen Dank an Familie Maass für die Vermietung der Unterkunft!
