About this property

Spa + Games + Patio Dining | Mins to Emerald Bay + Lake | Lakesong Lodge

Some Tahoe trips are about getting away. Others are about getting everyone together. Lakesong Lodge is built for the latter — a sprawling, freshly renovated retreat that sleeps big groups without making anyone feel like they drew the short straw on sleeping arrangements.

Spread across four levels and roughly 4,600 square feet, the home has seven bedrooms and a separate backyard bunk structure that functions as its own self-contained space — ideal for kids, teens, or anyone who wants a little distance from the main house crowd. Inside, vaulted ceilings give the main living areas a cabin-grand feel, and there's never a shortage of places to settle in: multiple living rooms, a large dining table for gathering the full crew, and a fully stocked kitchen equipped with, two ovens, two stovetops, and two refrigerators, because feeding a group this size requires more than one of most things. There are also two dishwashers and two dryers on-site, which makes a week-long stay considerably more manageable.

A few things worth knowing going in: there are four bathrooms in total. Three are communal bathrooms shared across the home—two feature 2 toilets and 3 showers each, while the third includes 1 toilet and 2 showers. The fourth bathroom, located upstairs, is a standard full-size private bathroom.

Outside, the patio is where the real magic happens. A jetted hot tub anchors the space, surrounded by seating tucked under a canopy of trees. Multiple outdoor dining areas give the group room to spread out, and a hammock offers a quieter corner for anyone who needs a break from the action. When the competitive streak kicks in, there's a basketball court on the property alongside ping pong and foosball, and a healthy selection of board games — including Cards Against Humanity, Cranium, and Sequence — for the nights when you'd rather stay in.

The home sits on Highway 89, the road that runs directly northwest toward one of Lake Tahoe's crown jewels: Emerald Bay is approximately 5.8 miles away. Whether you're hiking down to Vikingsholm Castle, catching the sunrise view from Inspiration Point, or paddling out toward Fannette Island, it's all within easy reach. Camp Richardson Resort — with its marina, beach, and lakeside dining — is just a few miles away, and Heavenly Mountain Resort is a short drive in the other direction for anyone coming in ski season.

Communication with the host was excellent. There were a few things that the property needed and the owner personally brought it to us. The kitchen was perfect for a big group, double stoves, dishwashers, washer/dryer. The beds were very comfortable. It was the perfect property for our large group. If I could recommend something, some of the rooms did need screens on the windows as it got warm during the day. We also couldn’t use the hot tub because the jet was broken and we had to keep filling it up with the hose because it was leaking. Overall, we had a great stay and I would definitely stay here again.

Double stoves and dishwashers really change the game when you're cooking for a big group, and we're glad the kitchen and comfortable beds made the house such a good fit. Thank you for the kind words about our team's communication and quick help when things came up. The notes about the hot tub and window screens have been passed along so they can be addressed properly — we appreciate you flagging them. It means a lot that you'd stay again, and we'd love to welcome your group back anytime.
