From our holiday rental in the village of Ruhwarden, you can quickly and easily reach many interesting places in Butjadingen. Right outside the front door, you’ll find a bakery and a bus stop, from which the “Strandläufer” bus departs every hour for Tossens and Burhave. The lively town of Tossens, with its Pirate Beach and many restaurants, is just 3 kilometres away. But there’s also plenty to discover right here in Ruhwarden and in Burhave, which is only about 8 kilometres away.
Since you can lock your own bikes on the property and use a bike shed (available upon request), this accommodation is perfect for holidaymakers travelling with their own bikes. The nearby Langwarder Groden is ideal for walking and offers a special experience, especially for nature lovers.
You’ll find several interesting spots around the quietly situated Alte Schule in Ruhwarden. Diagonally across the street is a long-established bakery where they still bake their own bread, and about 200 metres away, you can buy fresh eggs around the clock. Equestrian enthusiasts will love the equestrian shop located directly across from the Alte Schule. Just a few minutes’ walk away, the Ruhwarder Mühle restaurant welcomes you with home-style cooking.
A special highlight are the garage murals in Ruhwarden. As part of an art project, around 20 garage doors in Ruhwarden were decorated by various artists from the region.
